Got job?
A new employee of mine who is so amazingly clueless as to walk into my office to discuss her "promotion potential" which is, frankly, non-existent. She has dropped the ball so many times I have lost count. Set several projects back by a good 1-2 months through incompetence and inattention to detail then lied about the status. I try to give folks a break, provide them with training, etc. but she has pushed one too many buttons and compromised the integrity of my entire team. Today she tried to shift blame to another co-worker which is intolerable. Own your mistakes (we all make them) and I will help you out, blame someone else and you aren't good enough to roll with my team.
My only question now is to go in for the quick kill or take my time with a slow bleed. Either way that little gazelle is about to be culled from the herd. :getout: Katniss~~ |
Slicing an avocado with a serrated knife, wasn't paying attention, and sliced my index finger grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr- bled like a stuck pig - luckily, I had TinkerBell Bandaids -
|
Don't make me mad then tell me to calm down. That's like stabbing someone and then wondering why they're bleeding...........:thefinger:

I'm way passed "pissed off". I'm nuclear.
My daughter broke up with her boyfriend last week because he wanted to do physical things (yay, daughter!!). I found out tonight that he's been spreading it around his family and some of his friends that they went "all the way". Daughter is beside herself, and I'm ready to sue for libel. What a prick. Now his mother wants to talk to me about it. I hope she does. I'm going to bring it. (if anyone has any advice for this, feel free to visitor or private message me). |
Problem solved, I hope. Although I'm not overly proud of myself.
I told OtherMom that if it had happened, then HER son obviously didn't say no at any time. And, if she slandered my daughter that I would be talking to my lawyer (which is true, although I probably wouldn't have had any kind of case). I think that's the end of it. |
I managed a brief walk today, the first in a long time, walked to my village store, got there to find a new girl working behind the counter, she spent the entire time gossiping with some young lad who was obviously her friend, when I thanked her as I left, after she'd served me and talked over me at the same time, she pretty much blanked me and gave a vacuous smile in response ... I may end up talking to the guy who runs the store, cos, you know, being polite costs nothing!
Please, thank you, excuse me, etc ... kids today need to be taught this all over again it seems! :bomb:  :wtf: |
well yesterday but still today thinking about it still kinda. I was going speed limit and a bit over in a residential area and a motorcycle rider driving aggresively behind me passed me on a two lane road only to come up to a red light. I got behind him and started honking. The light turned green and he just stayed there. I continued with my hand on the horn while he's staring at me. I said, "it's green effin' go. you wanted to go, go!" ...as I continue with my hand on the horn. Finally, I turn my wheel to go around him and he starts to go. I get to the next light and I turn before I get pissed more and I had my girl and my pup with me and didn't want to continue behind his asss pissed. Then I think shit all these stickers about Watch for motorcycles, share the road with motorcycles, yada, yada. I'm like F*ck. Maybe they need to be more responsible on the road! Nice how they think they can be invincible and do what they want and just because they are smaller and may go faster doesn't mean I can't turn my wheel and get around them just as well! Man, was I pissed and thought maybe with me honking, calling his ass out on it, he may think about his actions next time instead of just darting around someone unsafely. I find myself using my horn more these days in FloriDUH with these idiot drivers!

Rumours...
I just got off the phone from a friend at home (the city I just moved from). She called to inform me that the person I was "dating" was still in a relationship. She just wanted to give me a heads up.
Funny story... I'm not dating anyone. And have never dated the person she was talking about. I am a bit pissed off right now. Turns out I am quite the topic of conversation back home. I guess if you just up and disappear and don't tell people you are moving, they make up stories because they don't know what is really going on. I shouldn't have to explain myself to anyone. I can't decide whether to let the rumours spin out while I'm not there or if I should do something about it. I am a bit too pissed off at the moment to make a decision. Normally I try to avoid the Chicks and drama, but I didn't get a choice this time, I became the drama in absence. Yes, pissed off. That's my rant for today. |
Pissed off
I tend to ignore situations and people who piss me off.

Finding out that some douche bag that I work with was promoted to assistant manager. He is one guy who has openly stated to me, "That I hate to send you off to work in the stock room, but since you aren't bilingual, I don't want you to struggle with your sales". Well butt head, I sold two expensive face creams and two yesterday...How many have you sold? Plus, I may not know Spanish or portugese, but I can handle my own. Hope everyone learns that you only know how to kiss ass and you fail miserably.
I need some Godiva Grand Marnier chocolates! Zimmeh |
Spending time interviewing, filling out paperwork....really making the best decision , only to have some out side force get in the way!! Back to square one...turning that frown around, not so much that fast right now:(
Going to pull a happy ending out, just you watch! |
My son has lately become very fond of the TV show Bones. I love most shows in the Law and Order genre, but can only take Brennan in small doses. She's just so socially inept and odd sometimes. I realize that this is part of the schtick of the show, but it's like watching an extreme form of myself.
But one episode just sticks in my craw. The team is trying to solve a crime and are working with a Japanese forensic anthropologist (I think) who happens to be genderqueer or androgynous. The "joke" of the episode is that this entire team tries everything short of copping a feel to figure out if the person is male or female. Firstly, even I knew that there's a subculture in Japan involving androgyny. I know little of Japanese culture, but had heard of this (one of the characters mentions it as well). Second, it's set in Washington, D.C. In that big city, I'm sure things go down that make Cabaret look like tea at two. I find it really, really hard to believe that absolutely no one in that lab has seen a genderqueer person. I'd find it hard to believe that no one there knows someone in our family. Hell, I was a sheltered little snowflake when I arrived at Reunion or on the site in the beginning, and probably pretty naive, and still didn't give a damn. But maybe I'm a bad example, as I'm family myself. Even if I were straight, I'd know you don't play silly games or "accidentally" bump someone to see what they've got. I just didn't like the line of "look at the little freak", like a sideshow. People are people, not amusements. |
Story on the news tonight about a local high volume kill shelter making it difficult, if not impossible, for some animal rescue groups to remove animals from the shelter to foster and eventually place them in good homes.

I had one of "those" calls today from a patient's mom. She was pissed b/c she wrote a check at the MD office on 11/2 and her statement from 11/9 did not reflect it. So, I told her that the MD provided me with the payment info on 11/14 and that her balance was now $xxx.xx. TYPICALLY that is enough-most people just want to know that their bill is right but not this women.
She bitched and cussed for several minutes, asking me what I was going to do in the future to make sure that her bills were right when they were sent out-after all "just how long DOES it take you to post a payment???" So, I replied, "that office gave us your payment yesterday and it was posted on your account by today; if you have concerns about how long it takes for the payment to be reflected, you may want to discuss them with the MD at your daughter's next visit." Sadly, this is pretty common. In fact, two weeks is actually an improvement. Sometimes it takes up to 4-6 weeks for us to get info, although they are faster about payments. I have talked to the MDs countless times about this, about getting chewed on for things I have no control over-to no avail. The MDs run their office without help. They refuse to hire a nurse, assistant or even a receptionist. I understand that paying salary/benefits is costly but, if you make $225/hour (minimum) how can hiring (especially part-time) someone be more expensive than using your time to copy payments, take them to the bank, run to the post office, answer the phones, file charts---and get your biller needed documentation? :sparklyheart: |
I gess I pushed it a lot last night,I had a back injection Tuesday and last night I went to play pool with my 8 ball team,i'm still not steady on my feet,i'm now and again floaty from what ever the hell I got they used to put me under( I didnt drive to the pool hall I got a ride with a team mamber) plus the after effects of the procedure are still yucky to deal with. Then I was useing the bridge to make a shot droped bridge stick and all right in the midldle of the balls on the table. The night went that way through four tables, again tomorrow I play 9 ball hopefuly I will play better.Im getting a ride cause I dont trust the crap I got to k.o. me with...wicked bitch it is.

That, after 2 requests my Teacher Certificate is not in the mail yet.
My teacher explained that she understand why i want it, but felt it was better to wait with the hurricane. WHAT? i should not have to ASK for it, and then be put off about it. But in a way it's good because now i know i do not want to teach for her school, i fear my pay would be *held up* for whatever reason since it's been a battle for everything so far with her. |
Better to be pissed off than pissed on...so they say :police:

saturday night fail
A friend really pissed me of tonight. He invited me to a party a couple of friends of his where throwing, one of whom I'd met once before. He said it would be a good opportunity for me to meet some new people in this city.
So I went to this party where I knew NO ONE, and they had all clearly known each other since the dawn of time. People kept asking me how I knew the hosts, and I explained that a mutual friend had invited me but he wasn't there yet. They were all friendly and empathic about the awkwardness of the situation, but eventually went to back to catching up with and talking to their friends about vacations, jobs, and kids, while I tried to get the cat to pay attention to me. The host had called him a few times asking what was going on, and apparently he was no longer sure what he wanted to do, he might show up later, etc. Thanks for the warning, buddy. After a few hours, my friend still hadn't shown and I eventually left. I haven't heard from him all night. My god. I cannot believe I shaved my legs for that bullshit. |
