I am glad that I found this thread. Saying hello to everyone from the Athens area of Georgia. Have a great Friday and weekend. I plan on being outside as much as possible as the weather is awsome! A bit cold at night (45) but that is okay because I just bought a new electric blanket. Mine died last winter. I was excited to see how they have changed. The new one is that microplush fabric and it is the color of chocolate, ten settings and autoshut off! That tells you how old the other one was.

Good Morning lofters!! I am doing the internship and boy its hard work. Well they are working me hard for sure. They really use the interns to the max..my feet hurt, my legs hurt everything hurts hope its over with soon. Just two more weeks to go Yeah but I'm learning a lot of things..

Kats - sounds like a great blanket. I use a down comforter. And socks when my feet are cold!

I've been busy the last few weekends - but this one is going to be a ME! weekend. I'm going to visit a friend, go to a soccer game, drink far too much, BBQ, and visit my furbaby Bella. And I might even go clothes shopping. If you know me then you know that is a big thing since I hate hate hate clothes shopping.

omg.... thats what i thought until i had to go to the bathroom and well the heater had to come on...... lol im sure it will get turned off soon though.

I saw that you were in Hendersonville this morning. I bet you are chilly! That is one of my favorite places well except for Asheville which is still my favorite place. Going to have to drink some something warm still shivering. Have a great day!

ahh lol ..... wel wish we both a lil closer to each other here..... we could meet up for lunch or a coffee...... oh well.....
i do get loads to ga ..
i been painting up a storm and have some more to do today .... im going to ber selling some of my art......at a horse event in Jacksonville Fla this weekend. i have a thread on it...... will find the link

Wishing you good luck with the sale!!! I actually live closer to Athens than Atlanta and sure if you are going to be down this way we could have lunch or a coffee or both. That would be nice. I love your coffee cup too.

Omg YES everything hurts today yesterday and the day before but on the mend with my lyrica!!

Thanks to all those that responded back, it means a lot to me but at least I'm learning, need a watch to do respirations and pulse though...didn't know that Cali was so hard to find work I'm looking in Florida G-d's waiting room as they call it!!

I had my shoulder looked at this past week. He thinks its a tear in the rotator cuff and has ordered an MRI. We're waiting to see if my insurance covers this particular image service. I talked to him about several things and the nicest part is that I now have primary care Atlanta's gay/gay friendly practice. I'm really comfortable discussing personal health issues with them and being on T. There are concerns he has with that but I will work it out over time. For now, I'm delaying taking any more T.

im off to work in a bit, 12-7pm shift today..
and celebrating a resident's birthday today so some gifts to bring!

otherwise just been relaxing and taking in this beautiful cool fall morning.. it's gorgeous out there, the sun is shining and have gotten lots done this morning which feels great..

I have noticed single, older people on a few threads talking about the kind of relationships they prefer at this stage of life and why they are seeking a particular type of thing i.e. long distance vs local, live-in vs not, hot/steamy vs companionship, commitment vs dating etc. I'm wondering what single folks in this thread are thinking/looking/hoping for in their next relationship and why, if they care to share that.

Good questions Kobi. At this stage in my life I am looking for a friend/companion first. Possible romantic feelings yes. This person should share some similar interests, be intelligent, care about our world and all the animals in it, have the ability to communicate and is a good listener. I have done the long distance relationships and they can be very painful and disappointing so I say no to that forever. If someone comes on very strong right off the bat; red flags go up and I want to run away as fast as I can. I no longer fall for false flattery. Thanks for asking us! What about yourself?

For me, it would be friends first then if romantic feelings start then terrific. The Butch would need to love animals, be thoughtful, care about themself and others, be a good listener, good communication, have some similiar interests. I've been in long distance relationships and some have been painful but a few were good

I haven't been in a long term relationship in so long, its hard to say what I would want. She has to intrigue me that's for sure. And at this age I think its okay to expect that her life is her own and her kids (if there are any) are adult enough to be on their own. At this age I believe we have paid our way—we're entitled to our own happiness and some freedoms.

And? I definitely don't want to be used for my money. I mean, I've worked really really hard for 30+ years to be where I am, not high up, but satisfied with my earnings and I want to play just as hard as I work. Please don't hit me up for cash, I have adult kids to do that! LOL

Can't be with anyone who enables their kids or anyone else. I had a short experience with a woman who wiped her kid's butt and cleaned up her messes.
I guess I demand attention, but I damn well give it, too.

It gives me a great deal of pleasure to give my kids cash when they least expect it, and they don't expect it. I've raised a couple of really hard working, well adjusted adults who stand on their own. and? I'm a giver, not a micro-manager, but a giver, that's what makes me happy :)

I dont see you enabling a child in their dysfunction, there's a big difference.

you know.. i don't know what i really want anymore.. i do know someday i want commitment, and i do know from now on, it will be friendship first.. i need to someone as much as i want them to know me, to see if there is compatibility .. i'm old school, i'm stone, i'm submissive, i'm many things that tie up into one unique girl - and it's difficult to find someone who respects & appreciates those things about me - so no more seeking.. at this point it's just about continuing on my journey of self & meeting new friends and getting myself back out there.. and then, what happens, happens..

as for long distance vs local.. i've done LDR and it's difficult.. but not impossible, if there is a chance of 'together physically' at some point in time..and the feelings and connection were there, i'd be open to LDR again.. but with some meetings and real time.. i couldn't do LDR permanently, i need interaction..

hot/steamy vs companionship.. i want companionship.. with a big order of hot & steamy all tied into one.. *s* i yearn for someone who'll not only be my love, my protector & partner but.. someone who'll also be my best friend.. i love to laugh, i love to know i've someone i can always count on.. i love passion, i love randomness, i love the unexpected ..

lastly - i'm a very laid back kind of girl - and its' not that i don't care.. i'm just not one to pry, i build a trust with friendship and once that trust is there, i am always 'there' but willing to give needed space ..

for a gal who said i didnt know what i want, i guess i do know some.. funny how that happens, lol.. ♥ anyway, great question!

Some good news today. I am going to have an MRI done on my shoulder. I found a doc in my network and co-pay is do-able. It's going on 4 weeks and I can't engage my shoulder so its pretty much halted my activities. This is a load off my mind.
