two little boys
My sister got two little boys to foster today. Which means my mom and I got two little boys too. (It takes a village after all) I've spent the evening with these two little guys and they are perfect! I smile because of the joy they bring us even this one day.
These fellas are on a 65 day court ordered removal from their home. We don't know how long they will actually be with us, but our plan is to give any child who needs it as much love as we can while they are with us. |
Its shopping day! I absolutely flourish when I get to go shopping.

The morning started out sluggish from my meds...but my productive afternoon and accomplishment of a wonderful homemade dinner made me smile...

I'm unpacking my office and came across this evaluation from a student:
Additional Comments: "I love everyone and I love the prof. I even asked her out but she said no." tickled my heart. Going to frame it, no one asked me out that I remember but thankful I said no, so I can't be called up on boundary issues, jk, lol |
What made me smile was, Friends noticing that I leave little special notes or pictures! Makes me feel good!

The morning didnt start off too well.. I went into work after being off sick for 2 days... found out my desk had been moved while I was gone... only the computer was the only thing moved. I had to pack everything up and move it first thing when I got there.
2 hours later exhausted and overheated as I still wasnt feeling great I was moved in and semi settled.... By the end of the day I was smiling because my new office space is very quiet and secluded in a corner.. I love it! Now to get some string lights to brighten up the dark shadowy corners... Got love seclusion.. especially when everyone in the office seeks me out for questions. :eatinghersheybar: |

Seeing a young man I haven't seen in about 6 yrs. He's 18 now and Mr GQ. Up until he was about 12 he was all about being a cowboy. His grandparents were raising him and everywhere they went he went. Boots, cowboy hat, sometimes spurs, and a tiny cowboy vest, sometimes as a little fellow he even had his little 6 shooters on his side.

while walking Jacques in the park, I met a man (and his dog) that I met previously....we stopped to chat...I found out his big ol dog is called "Knee High"....I told him he missed his mark a bit ;)
Upon parting he tipped his hat at me....such a bygone gesture....made me feel like I was a pretty lil thing at a garden party....sigh.... :) |
A little boy signed his father's credit card receipt at his local Domino's. He signed his father's name "Dad".
