Just for today....
Happiness was an early morning meditation by the sea and then watching the sun rise over the beach. The gentle crashing of the waves and that quiet space just before dawn while the world still slept was so restful to my heart and soul.
I may return at sunset. |
Good news from someone I thought would forever remain in my past.
This is big and a great reminder. People are resilient and really can change their lives for the better if they make a decision to do so and then follow through with it! For various reasons, it is the "follow through" part that holds a lot of people back. I'm very happy for my friend! :) |

Coming in to work this morning and on my desk, I found a quart tupperware container with just a smiley face drawing on a POST-IT stuck to top of it. It was full of Beef and Cabbage soup. I immediately called Becky. No, wasn't her. Poured 3/4 of it in a bowl and put it in the microwave. Then checked with Rosemary but one of our secretaries said she is not in today. Then I thought, has to be Laura or my supervisor's wife who cooked it. Saw Laura in hallway on the way to supervisor's office. Yes, it was Laura!!! I hugged and thanked her! It is so good!! Ate a bite even before I stuck it in the microwave. I have 1/4 of the quart left ... trying to save it for later ... hmmm ... but probably will eat it sooner.
Right now is as good of a time as any, wouldn't you say? ;) *heading for the break-room fridge in stealth mode with my bowl now* They already saw me come out with the first hot bowl. And the ones who sit with the break-room door in their view like to pick on me and announce very loudly I'm eating again. :( |

Happiness is my whole family being in the same place at the same time. Happiness is rescuing hundreds of unwanted and neglected dogs every year Happiness is my dogs and my birds Happiness is being able to just chillax with no thoughts going through your head Happiness is a warm fire and some good music Happiness is puppies!!! |
