What made me smile today...
Running into the store to crab an ice, cold, fountain Diet Coke this morning, and hearing Mmmm Bop by Hanson blaring from the speakers. And watching the cutest gay boy behind the counter dancing around with a coworker. |
Getting ready to go out for dinner (Mexican) and to a movie (Inception) even though I did the same exact thing yesterday afternoon, lol.
Yesterday one of my friends I've known since 3rd grade asked me to go for lunch and to the movie.. then another old high school friend asked the same thing. I said that if the movie was good I might consider going again.. lol.. here I go again! :o) What can I say? I can't turn down good Mexican food and a great movie, esp. when I don't have to pay! |
building a bookcase by myself, getting my room clean and the way I want it. and going to get coffee with bella and the java lady asking me if she could buy one of bella's puppies once they are born.

A wonderful day with laughter and sunshine. Special people in my life are just so amazing to me. Helps me realize that the ones that possess malevolence and who pass by quickly, just fade into darkness and soon become a distant, unimportant thought.
Whats important and what makes me smile are those that withstand the test of time, those who are honest and forthright, true to themselves and others. Those that have love in their hearts, those you can trust and who have compassion and tenderness. Those that are who they claim to be and those that live up to who and what they say they are. Joyful, happy people. Important lessons, integrity and good ole fashion manners.....THAT is what makes me smile. |

Winning... Riley sweet 70 pound lab of mine.. I have figured out how to battle your wits on the back yard... I know you dont like wet grass.. I dont either... but you are a dog... I am your human.... and you WILL go potty outside! LOL.. Standing off with you feet firmly planted on the ground dodging your every move to get back in the house... VICTORY... 5 mins later you finally pee.. Damn you stuborn ass dog!! lol... Peppa-Puppy.. yes I guess it is no longer Pepper-Puppy... we have a southern drawl now with your name... You my dog are damn adorable... Those floppy ears that are longer than your head flop as you come running.. Its no wonder i dont stay mad at you long.... I love listening to you and Riley romp and play behind me in the livingroom... Please try not to romp and play under my feet... K? dear little guy... you are so damn cute... how can something that weighs less than 5 pounds have such an impact on us? We dont know what your future holds but you have a future with us sweetie... I know you like to run.. but we will make sure you never run again... We love you too much... Ladybug... you seem much happier after your bath.. I am glad you are resting peacefully.. Jewel the neurotic cat... ummm... that is my traveling bag... not a slumber bag... GEEZZZ!!! I hate it when I forget to put it away and find you sleeping in it!! |

Waking up this morning to Simon (my puppy) all snuggled in the covers next to me his little face on the crook of my arm sleeping... :) The mornings and nights he does that is so precious... To feel his little puppy breath against my arm and watch him sleep... This dog is SPOILED

Seeing a delivery person walk into my office, with the most beautiful flower arrangement of Stargazer lilies, red roses, white mums & purple daisies ~ for no special occasion at all. |

Still smiling about the date, but, really wondering about differences due to my physical disabilities. I'm actve as can be, but not the woman I was. She is the woman I was and grieve... But, had a good time! LOL... I think I still pass as an athlete! Interesting to think about.. Oh, and there is something quite nice about a femme that at 54, runs marathons in lace! Love it! Pink is a winning color!
