Lust is definitely acceptable. Especially that first twinge of lust, when either you or she says something and you feel that sexual electricity inside your bones... okay.. no pun intended there lol.

Lust gets me in trouble but I like it.

IMHO language is VERY strong. When used in a way that elicits an emotional or physical response, it can and has been totally translated to lust for many of us. So even though you may not have met someone face to face, and all you have are words, those words can stir up a plethora of emotions, including lust. Just my .02 cents.

Lust and crush are two separate things for me. Lust for me is instantaneously. Crushes take time. Its their character and personality that breeds a crush. Now, add lust to a crush and mix in mutual pursuit and there is potential for a relationship, friendship or romance. And over time, true love can develop....again, friendship or romance. Hopefully, both.

I'm a sucker for romance. But I think you all knew that. ;)

Telling someone you've a crush on them or not doesn't necessarily come down to courage. In most cases, it's as much about how that could be perceived by the other person.

For example, if someone told me that they had a crush on me, I'd probably be slighly spooked because, to me, subconsciously, the word "crush" has connatations of teenage years and slightly unbalanced reactions caused by a combination of overactive hormones and naivety.

That's not to disrespect those who crush - as I do too. However, I'd never tell someone that I had a "crush" on them. I might tell them that they are attractive or beautiful or something else but I wouldn't use the "crush" word.

There should totally be a femme equivalent to "bromance"
