They let her out of the hospital this afternoon, they still aren't sure what is wrong with her. I am teaching Elijah bad things, like how to stick his tongue out and play hide and seek. Lisa starts her maternity leave on this coming Sunday. Thanks for dinner! I am leaving some Blue Bell Banana Split ice cream to go with the strawberry shortcakes.

:bringcoffee: Good morning all :) I'm putting the coffee and tea on, and thinking about breakfast...anyone feel like french toast? I'm thinking french toast with butter and maple syrup, some nice crisp bacon and a little fresh cantaloupe. :eating:

I took today off work (although I do have to work on one document), because I'm feeling the need to do some more packing and organizing in preparation for this move. I've got a giant roll of bubble wrap for packing my glassware, and already packed a big bag of shoes before I even left my bedroom this morning. :)

I do not envy you as to the packing... and I will be doing it soon as well.. however, change is good.. and it just seems to happen when you least expect it. I hope the move goes without any major blips for you. I think you and scoote dealing with the house buying stuff has been enough frustration for anyone. nods.

As for Me.. today I have a couple of meetings.. and I need to start getting boxes together and get packing. This is a week of great change.. all for the better.. and I am looking forward to it.

I took myself out to the movies this afternoon...went to see The Kids Are All Right. Not great, not bad....but I needed the break.

Dinner tonight..since I'm on the "old fashioned" thing...meatloaf, baked mac and cheese, fresh peas with pearl onions and my homemade biscuits. :eating:

Dessert is ice cream again...unless someone comes and talks me into baking a hot fudge cake! :)

Good that you could sell your house durrrrrrr. The short sale thing is tough. The one we're buying has been on the market over 3 years, and the sellers would like to get out as much as we'd like to get in. Makes me wish the banks could just move the paperwork faster!

I'm a bit flat out this morning, working on a deadline, but I'll be able to be a bit more leisurely once I get this done.

Thanks to all of you on the well wishes on the house. I just had an update from the realtor which is...no update. Evidently the new asset manager is still reviewing (sigh), but it's at least at the top of her stack. In the meantime, Scoote and I have decided to just say heck with it. I'm moving...we'll pack into her apartment...Rooster can camp on the couch...the cats will be cranky...the stuff will be in storage...and we're just gonna deal until the bank gets their paperwork in order. Soooooo.....I'm packing like a maniac, and the countdown clock this time isn't until a visit, but until we pack the car and drive away for good....in about 9 days. Wish me luck :seeingstars: :giggle:

You are welcome...You two have been trying for a long time now to get this house, and unfortunately, the bank is dragging their heels. I meant to tell Jo Jo, that when she is coming down 95 through the Ormond Beach area, just past the US1 exit, FHP troopers sit in the trees on the left right before you get to the SR40 exit, so this way she doesn't get stopped for anything and there is some road work right after the LPGA Blvd exit. Hope she has a safe trip down from NY. If she needs anything, have her contact me. I will keep an eye out for any traffic changes on 95 and let her know.

dude, this summer has been the hottest summer i can remember. i work outdoors so by the time i get home all i want is a shower, something to eat and then relax in some a.c.

I am scared to see what the electric bill is going to look like when it comes to the ac going.. the part I hate the most is trying to sleep when it is this muggy.. I was having this discussion with someone today.. that the weather patterns are off all over the place.. it really is a telltale sign of what global warming is doing to the Earth..
