I planted peppermint stick zinnias in my pots on my front steps. They are now starting to bloom and as each one opens, I am amazed at mother nature and human accomplishments. Each one is a different color, but they have red stripes on each petal. You have to see them up close to appreciate their beauty and I am so glad I put them on the front porch where visitors get to see them.

The 7yr old kid across the street has a broken arm. He was sitting on the front porch watching his brother and friends play in the sprinkler, looking really bummed. I asked him if her knew how to play marbles. (of course he didn't. It's 2010 and he's 7. lol.)
What made me smile was, after I showed him how to play we played for a little more than an hour. He was really diggin it. When he was leaving, he asked if we could play again tomorrow. |

Haveing my ac fixed yesterday morning...it went out sunday evening...so glad it didnt happen in the middle of the day.

I just walked by my co-worker and "shot" him with my index finger and thumb. And without a moments hesitation he slumped over dead. It cracked me up!!! :)

the heavy rain that is now pouring late at night.....the soil has so needed it. I can water my garden for a long time but kick the dirt and you find dry soil. This is good...very good...for the garden...

Silly lil bird hopping on the porch outside the front room window -
Runs up to the window sil, pecks on the window and when I look up he flys away, yet keeps coming back lol. I finally put out some toast crumbs, he ate em up and has gone about his business. I wonder if he is gonna come by and demand brekkie every morning lol |

i was driving down a road today when all of a sudden everyone starts slammin on their brakes. one truck had to slam on his brakes so hard he started sliding around. after everyone came to a stop, i noticed why everyone was stopped. two cars in front of me the dude gets outta his truck, walks to the center of the road and picks up a kitten and takes it back to his truck. i can see him hand the kitten to his son.
most people wouldnt even bother stoppin, lettin alone pickin up the kitten and takin it home |
