1) I have no tattoos, but not because I have anything against them. I just haven't decided on one that's meaningful enough to brand myself with for life. :guitar:
2) I don't like guinea pigs. I really, really, really don't like centipedes or millipedes. 3) I have 6 pairs of black boots. I need about 6 more, but don't know where I'd put them. :blueheels: 4) Right now, I could really go for an everything bagel with a schmear of cream cheese and lox. I use to listen in on the party lines, when I was a child. Its how I got some of the best education! I have grown quite fond of living by myself. No partner. No child. Just me and the four leggeds. I found out a couple of days ago that my maternal grandfather was of Spanish/Irish origin (which probably explains a lot in terms of my personal music collection). I also discovered that my maternal grandmother was one of 12 children (my mother was also one of 12). Now I'm obsessed with finding out as much as I can about my mother's family while I still have the energy to do it. 4. I hate, hate, HATE the smell and taste of coffee. 5. I have another persons body parts in 2 areas of my body. I brush my teeth four times a day. I have no feeling in my right hand pinky finger from a cut I inflicted on myself cutting onions for soup. I used to do competitive water skiing when I was younger. Much much much younger. |
1. Like Words, I abhor the taste of coffee. However, I love the aroma of it brewing. It smells SO much better than it tastes!
2. My surgery on my kidneys (or the lack of documentation of said surgery, rather) is the only thing that kept me out of the Army. 3. When I was younger (middle and high school), I got street cred with the Goth and alternative kids because I looked EXACTLY like Bjork. 4. I have a twin/doppleganger somewhere one the East coast named Anna. I've been accosted several times throughout my years there by various people who thought I was her. 1. I love wearing and using things that belonged to my grandmother. My favorites right now are a gold bracelet, pressed glass serving dishes, and crockery mixing bowls.
2. When I see that one of my kids is in pain, I get a shooting pain in my stomach. 3. I'm worried about being pre-diabetic (not confirmed yet, but quite likely), and so I'm not finding that hard to eschew sugar or too many carbs. 4. I watch too much TV, and I love it. The Good Wife and Big Bang Theory are two favs right now. 5. I can't stop thinking about making chicken soup (see grandma post above). I'm going to make noodles AND matzo balls. I want it. In 1973 I was the youngest swimmer from Hawaii to make the cut for the Munich Olympics, but missed it by 1/10 of a second, but I still got to go and watch it in Germany.
I have a bad habit of always wanting to start something, and usually never finish it, I get bored. My favorite vehicle to drive is a Truck I am very superstitious and many of my reactions come from my ethnic mixed breed back ground. I am not very good as far as talking to someone and making sense, but I can put words down on paper and it becomes poetry, (then I have to spell check) lol |

1 I love my job, I'm just not overly fond of working.
2. Every day, when I pull up to the building, I have to take a deep breath and get into the right frame of mind. 3. I tend to assume that everyone is at work for the same reason--to do the best job possible. This gets me into trouble from time to time. 4. I go back to bed for at least an hour every morning, after my daughter catches her 6:45am school bus. O.o 5. I rarely sleep though the night. If it isn't my own internal clock, it's the dog's. |
1. I don't do spontaneous very well. It tends to lead to anxiety attacks.
2. I absolutely despise when people use other people as weapons in their battles, and it's ten times worse if the people used as weapons are children. 3. I really, really want a massage right now. 4. I've never been drunk in my life. See June's post for 'control issues'. Dust is evil. I battle it irregularly. It regularly wins. See Sassy's post for 'clean and tidy'. It has been bee u tee full today and, frankly, it's thrown me off so much I don't feel I've enjoyed it as thoroughly as I should. Molly puked on the carpet and I pretended not to see it. I will feed them and love them and play with them and, on occasion, clean up one of Molly's overexcited tinkles (only on the hardwood floors), but I draw the line at puke piles, cleaning anal glands, and giving medicine. They are rental puppies that have two parents that are perfectly capable of the rest. |
