Bio men that I knew at the time, really and truly thought that Bobby Riggs was going to beat her during their match.

I was still dating a guy at the time and we had a big bet. Me, that she would win and, he, that Riggs would.

I took such total joy in the fact that she simply kicked his ass.

The BF and a great many men in general, including my father, were simply shocked that Billie Jean won.
