Home from work and walking to get the mail I saw the saucer magnolia (tulip tree) in my yard was fat with buds. Reaching up to touch the fuzzy casing made me smile. We have had weeks of dreary weather so the promise of spring sunlight later really makes me smile.

My daughter is home for the weekend- yay!
She cut off almost all of her hair and it looks super cute. Yay!
She needed a trim though so I brought out the buzzers and trimmed the back and sides (top is still a few inches long)
We're going to a music/ dance festival this weekend and she's trying on outfits to pack. First a bunch of dresses. Then she came out in a button down and a bow tie. A perfectly tied bow tie. I let her know that - not to be stereotypical- but to be warned that the girls were going to swarm her in that outfit.
She flushed madly and smiled and play stomped into her room :) :) :)

I have been up since daylight working on this fence for my new dog. I decided to give myself the gift of using eight hours annual leave today ... finishing the fence early. When I called in, was told "don't forget, we have a holiday on Monday." I had no idea. I am famous for forgetting about holidays and going on in to work. I have so much outdoor work to do and not just the fence. This will make it much easier on me. No need to kill myself now but just keep it steady. Whew! Yes, smiling big time! :)

Working at home, messy bun, yoga moves, a genie-suit that is so thin you could show a movie through it, red lipstick, and the rest of the weekend to luxuriate in all that is joyous. <3

The warm reception I received when I approached the county head of the Boys & Girls Club to discuss what, if any, programs were in place for queer kids. She was thrilled that I'd come to speak with her and said she'd very much like to work with me to put something together. I am heartened that it is a topic very much on the radar at the national level of the club, and that the county wants to get more going on that front. It is my understanding that the clubs are quite open and affirming, and I'm going to work to do what I can to help.

My time with my ex as we go gambling, sight seeing and in general having a good time!

That it occurred to me to ask the at front desk of my hotel if perhaps there was an iPhone charger kicking around in their lost and found. There was and I am currently borrowing it.

My oldest and I having a very good conversation during our four hour drive back from the city. Latter him telling me out of the blue he loves me – and knowing he sincerely means it.

Coming home to find my youngest took very good care of the two cats and five kittens while I was away. Seeing that rather than just doing the absolute bare minimum he'd actually done some extras without being asked.

Monte the Magnificent so glad to see me back home again.

Seeing how nicely Survival Cat, despite nursing a very demanding litter, continues to put on weight, and how well she managed her kittens while I was away.

A very beautiful moon tonight.

Being able to relax knowing I no longer have to be on a very expensive medication that added eight bitter tasting pills to my daily med regime. Two hundred and forty horse pills a month less to have to take – now that's some something really great to smile about.

Hearing if I do well with that med being removed from the list I could be released to work at least part time fairly soon, and if I'm on it for two years without any problems I might even be able to be gradually weaned off of it altogether.

Being up and out of that uncomfortable hospital bed with it's constantly changing inflation rate and and re-positioning rolling motion effects and the thought of finally being back home where the bed, even if it's only just a couch, at least doesn't toss me about giving me a bounced around the ocean in a survival raft feeling experience.

Thinking about how good this day, and three others earlier in the week were.
