I FINALLY went for happy hour with people from work....it was actually planned by one of the female engineers in order to get together with all the women on our floor. I went so I could try to make some friends in a more laid back atmosphere, and I am so glad I went!! Oh, to be around a bunch of enginerds (I mean that term in a very VERY positive way!!) was fabulous!!
We laughed and talked about the office and how things are going in each department, and what we do with our free time. They are all readers....whereas I mentioned I love to build things and tinker in my garage. It was cool to finally make some friends that I will see in the office every day...and we will meet the 2nd Wednesday of every month. I am still smiling! |

Thinking about how much fun it will be to spend the day with my favourite 5 year old. We are going to the parade and then hopefully to see Madagascar 3. I am so excited. He is so much fun.

It is Friday! I survived 4 months, which proved to be a true test of patience and tenacity, that had closure this week I will have one more trip south and a week of pleasure before going back to the grind! ALL SMILES! :D |

watching Phoebe and Gracie run around the yard this morning then Phoebe runs at me full speed tongue fling and jumping into my arms to give kisses before going back to playing Jules our little kitty purring and rolling on the carpet runner saying LOVE ME damn I love my life |
The office pranks we set up last night after many drinks. So far, I am still employed. The VP and director havent made it in yet. :)

Getting the tag renewed for my car...the line at DMV wasn't as bad today as it was last week when i gave up and decided to take my chances and drove for a few days with an expired tag...:blush:

Call from the manager at the campus food service after I e-mailed her as a follow-up "bump".
Her: "Didn't T(*y tell you when you interviewed with him that you had the job?" Me: "No. He said he would get with you and compare notes and let me know." Her: "I'm going to kill him." So :D YAY I got the part-time Sbux shift supervisor job!!!!!!!!! |
