Smile Today
 

A pleasant chat always makes the heart grow fonder. Just not too quick *S. I had to smile today getting a cherry note to start my day.

There was a lot to smile about today:

- Watching Brittany play at getting a towel tied in a knot untied, to get the treats inside.

- Seeing, smelling and eating delicious little dim sum dishes.

- Getting a package in the mail from my sister.

Smiling at Brittany getting a banana. It's been several months since she had one, but I would have thought she'd have remembered it. She sniffed the first bite very carefully, took it gingerly between her lips, dropped it on the floor, sniffed it again, reached out toward it gently with one paw, then finally picked it up with her mouth and cautiously ate it. She's so funny! She loves bananas! but they must smell strange to her or something. She ate the rest of the slices enthusiastically.

Not just a smile, but a restoration of faith in humanity.


I got new tires put on my car today. They were so nice at the shop, got it done quickly. Then it was time to pay. Cash only they say…. I only had a card. I had to ask them where there was an ATM. They gave me a general direction to go in ( the shop was not in my town) I was so flustered. I told the man keep my phone while I’m gone as collateral. He dismissed that option and just told me where the ATM was.
I brought back the money and paid him and thanked him for his trust. They definitely have my business from now on.

My/ our granddaughter who is 20 months old. Pure joy, is what she is. ❤️ :)

A package arriving full of birthday presents!

A text from my boss at work telling me that two bouquets of flowers came to me at work….

To me it’s kind of funny (but not funny): How people you would never be friends with or much less date or even let their name cross your lips will go to lengths to get your attention. Being chased is never a good sign. I told my boss to give flowers away to people who buy products as a “thank you” for supporting our shop.

Make someone else’s day brighter, is probably the best way to handle this, I think. :)

What made you Smile Today?
 

A young man from my province of Newfoundland won Canada's Got Talent for 1M. dollars. Made me grin and clap for him, his wife and sons.

I watched a video of this performance and wow. I do love the "got talent" shows. He and his family have been through a lot and I hope this success multiplies for them!

My smile today (so far) is watching the growing wildlife feeding stations in my yard. I have so many birds, squirrels, chipmunks, bunnies, and a groundhog. I've been hiding peanuts in the shell here and there and installing squirrel-proof bird feeders and squirrel specific feeders here and there. Breakfast is a wild party in my back yard!

I smiled a lot during a phone call from my bff. We yammered on and on for an hour and a half until his husband got home.

My new bird feeder and being able to see birds enjoying the treats I've been leaving for them!

Three days of serious Spring cleaning just on my bedroom and bathroom, and now they are *sparkling* - I didn't smile much while I was breaking my back over it, but now that it's done, I'm grinning from ear to ear!
