Just put yourself in the poor puppy's paws and think how you'd feel if you got teased like that while wanting some attention from your humans. Matthew, don't worry about Shadow (although I swear he does need therapy)...Scoote will love up on me and tease him....then next thing she's got him tucked under the covers with her scratching his ears. :giggle: He adores her, second only to the Rooster. He is being teased at the moment though...he had a day at the doggie spa for bath, nail clipping, etc. He came out all shiny and cute...and sporting a striped bandana. Rooster told him he looked like a bandido...and it went to his head...next thing we know he's chasing the neighbor's great big dog across the parking lot, acting ferocious and barking his head off! Crazy little mutt! :)

Good morning everyone :) and welcome to the kitchen justjoanie :rrose:

We had a good day yesterday...after breakfast out we went to ToysRUs...something Rooster hasn't enjoyed for awhile since they closed the one close to us years ago, and something the Prince would have said he was too cool for. They both ended up with some new toys, and a pair of Nerf swords that have been used steadily since for raging battles on the lawn. (And, yes, I was involved in the battle in the store aisles...had to show them what mom could still do :giggle: )

Scoote slept most of the last 2 days, but had to go back to work this morning. Luckily she's feeling a lot better and not as congested...the bad news is that Sunday is a long day for her, so I'm hoping she takes it easy as much as possible.

Anyone have fun plans for the day?

I am going to finish up my homework for microbiology and study for the second part of my anatomy mid term. I am looking forward to Pride in Orlando. The Nerf sword fight sounds cute and when my nephew was down, he got a Nerf dart Tommy gun and he kept shooting everyone with it. I had Lisa laughing hysterically this morning. I have been giving Elijah some yogurt for breakfast and he deciced that the banana flavor was better on his clothes and body. I posted a pic of it up on FaceBook. Needless to say, I had to find a washcloth to wipe him down with and I am still chuckling at his silly self.

Hope Scoote feels better soon!

I am blaming my current run of silliness on my anatomy midterms and the dark purple aritificial nails I had put on Thursday...The color reminds me of when I was in my early 20's and attending college for the first time...

How are you doing? Did you get accepted into college? The other day, I was driving down the interstate to college and Motley Crue's, "Kickstart My Heart", came on followed by Ride the Lightening by Metallica and I am glad the state troopers weren't around...:|

I love going to Toys 'R Us, and especially with finally being able to let My little side out (I have both a big and little side to Me) I'm looking forward to having more of My own playtime as I am also a big kid at heart and that won't ever change. My sister's birthday is coming up in November and she will be 13 but because of her autism she is still very much a big kid and you can't help but be a kid yourself around her. I plan on going to Toys 'r Us to get her birthday present, and I may even indulge My little boy and get him a couple of hot wheels cars or some lego (yay)

I did get accepted into college, however I got put on the waitlist and from what I can tell I won't get a spot this year so I've been putting out resumes in hopes of finding a job ~ I'll work until next year, and then hopefully be able to get approved for funding again and just take a course next fall. Because of My gallbladder surgery this year, I registered for college too late and was unable to secure a seat early. Oh well, atleast if I can find a job I can work for now and see where next year leads Me. Also, I went to get My blood work done on friday and will get a physical done this coming friday ~ and if all goes well, I could be starting testosterone this week so I'm nervous yet excited about this new start ............. I'm finally getting to where I want to be in life, and while its scary its also what I've been waiting so long for :D

Congrats on getting accepted into college! Waiting is a hard thing to do, but you will get the funding to attend. I had a blast when my 10 year old niece was down for the summer. When I took her to the Hello Kitty store in Orlando, I almost bought myself a Hello Kitty iPhone case, but decided against it. I did treat myself to a Starbucks frappuccino, even though I am not supposed to have one on this diet. I was the same way when I came out as being gay, I was scared of the fact that I could lose my whole family<I am the only gay person in my family> and was happy when my mom started supporting me.

Happy birthday early to your little sister! No GI Joe's or Transformers to go with your Hot Wheel cars?

:bringcoffee: Setting down a fresh pot of coffee, a bottle of Baileys and a big bowl of homemade whipped cream...right next to a tray of homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Sorry I've been gone so much friends...things have been both busy and rocky around here. Some of the "blending families" stuff, stress from the house thing (I lost my mind and sent a super bitchy email after midnight....makes me feel crappy but it got them moving at last), and all of us except the Rooster sick with sore throats, draining sinues, coughs, headaches...and for me the special treat of fluid in my ears so I can barely hear. Joy.

Just one of those tough times when I feel surrounded by incompetence and nonsense. The good news...now that we have a bank approved contract we're probably 30 days or less from closing. Now all we have to do is get everyone healthy again, and survive the next month playing "sardines" :seeingstars:

I'm off to make dinner in real life....and I'll be back on if the Rooster lets me have some computer time (he's doing homework right now). OH...and Scoote will be re-computered shortly....hers was still under warranty and a replacement should be on the way. :)

Hi scoote... glad to see you are feeling better.. I know the flu bug is going around at work.. and given work is like "big brother" when it comes to taking time off.. everyone is coming in not feeling well.. and just spreading germs everywhere.. *knock on wood*.. I have not gotten it yet.. although My immune system usually rocks when it comes to that stuff.. thanks to My BFF getting Me to take echinacea and Ester-C every day.

Glad to see you and Jo finally got the house thing squared away.. although I saw that Jo had to "get on her broom".. it does not surprise Me though.. once you threaten to take your business elsewhere that usually gets people to sit up and notice, sad to say.

Just a snippet for everyone here.. My girl had emergency surgery yesterday.. She is doing well and was up and about today... they expect her to go home by the end of the week. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

So life has been busy with work.. making Myself available as much as I can to My girl while she has been ill... making plans to go there and help her once she is home from the hospital..

Life just has a way .. of turning on a dime that is for sure.

:bringcoffee: Fresh pot of coffee is on, and putting out a healthy breakfast of granola and fruit for everyone. I had a Doctor appointment day before yesterday, and some reminders to get back on the program and mind my diet. Had an EKG and chest x-ray too (just checking since there's lots of heart problems in my family). All came back good though...so now it's just the bloodwork, pap and mammogram to go (ugh).

Sending big hugs :gimmehug: to MStar and wishes for a speedy recovery. :bouquet: I know Jake is taking good care of you though my friend, and that's the most important thing. :)

I keep trying to be better about getting online, but feeling crappy (physically and emotionally) and it's hard to be inspired. Think more than anything I just need to close on this house and get moved....one more month (I hope). :goodluck:

Sounds like the perfect breakfast to Me! This morning for breakfast, I actually had a couple of small yogurts from Yoplait's Dessert Selections ~ one was Strawberry Chantilly and the other one was Raspberry Cranberry Crumble (both of which are beyond divine). Too bad I didn't have some actual granola here or I would have mixed some in, might have to buy some today or tomorrow for next time :)

I just had bloodwork done last Friday because tomorrow I go back to see My doctor for a complete physical, and if all goes well then tomorrow is the day that I may begin taking testosterone injections :cheesy:

I to have been busy as a bee. My anatomy midterms had me in tears on Tuesday. I got a 74, C, overall for both my lab midterm and the lecture midterm. I have to literally ace my final lab practical and lecture tests to pass the class with a B. I am thinking of dropping my microbiology class, the teacher is a bitch and I really don't like her. The overall grade in the class is an F, which I have, and I would rather have a grade of I, instead of an F.

I am leaving some homemade Arroz con Gandules, taquitos and brownies for dessert..

I am not giving up. i am going to show this woman that I can pass her damn class even if I get grey hairs doing it. I am going to be staying in Orlando tomorrow night, so I can study. I have an Avon conference right down the road from my old apartment and my old roommate said I could stay there. I cannot wait to be back in a sane place, hehe. It is hard as hell to study in my house, Elijah is being mean to Caleb and Lisa has been chasing after Elijah and yelling at him.

Hope you all slept well! My old roommate and I watched the 2009 Star Trek movie on his new 3D tv and it was awesome. No matter what we watched, it just made the picture come alive. Law & Order SVU looked like we were sitting there with them.

I am thinking of French Toast, fresh fruit, bacon/sausage, plenty of coffee, tea and sodas for breakfast this morning.

Went to make another payment on the boys' bedroom furniture today, had lunch at Cracker Barrel, and Rooster picked up one of those Paper Jamz guitar things from the shop there. It's bizarre how real it sounds. :blink:
