My intended Filipina maid had her visa application turned down - or, rather, was only going to be permitted if I married her. Whilst I want a domestic godess, I'm not that desperate just yet.

That said, it does present me with a quandary. As some people here know, I've fallen head over heels in love with a quasi-member of the site (quasi in the sense they attended the Little Rock Reunion but don't currently have a profile here).

Whilst it is a passionate love, I am concerned that their lack of height and, in particular, their lack of arm length means that they may not be a great help domestically should we ever cohabit.

Lasagna, tea and cleanup would be challenging if one couldn't move under their own power, I think?

This "true love" thing mightn't be all it's cracked up to be. I just hope that I wasn't blinded to the practicalities of the relationship by their pretty face and all round cuteness.
