Honestly, I do.
Pretty $3.00 bunches of Campanula that are still blooming after 9 days.
Feeling accomplished and organized. The feel of my damp (fresh from the shower) hair, so cool and sweet smelling against my cheeks and neck. Simplicity. Life when it's gloriously easy. The sight, texture and taste of blackberries. They are somewhat alien in form. Magnificent. Pink fondant (yes, I really do like it. And no, I don't have any right now.) The sound of wee puppy feet pattering against the rug. Used books stores that one can get lost in. Freshly painted nails. To name but a few |

Real kisses....real loooong kisses...from what I remember anyway...sigh.

Survey says ...
Warm, sun drenched, Spring afternoons.
Wandering the aisles at the market, with the knowledge that I might find something new or exotic. Sweet and colorful wildflower bunches, that pop up on the sides of the road and soften the journey. Leopard print ballet flats that make me feel slightly saucy. Watching honey slowly drizzle down into a cup of tea. Stained glass pieces that are somewhat jagged yet richly hued. |
Golden-hearted people...and simple, sweet kindnesses.
|
When life just seems to fall into place easily...
Having the ability to get things I want as well as need... Family and friends who are so supportive of me in my endeavors... Evenings that are warm enough I can sit outside and relax... The smell of freshly cut grass... Written correspondences...they are pleasant... Leftovers that can be re-heated in a jiffy when I don't feel like cooking... |

How much traffic should you stop for a squirrel?
I really like...
that most motorists in Oregon are curteous. I was driving up to a stop light and saw a woman walking back and forth infront of her car looking under it every so often. When the light changed and I started driving towards her I noticed all the cars around her had stopped. I saw something small darting back and forth in between her rear tires. As I pulled up next to her I could tell she was upset and didnt want to move her car. But she was holding up four lanes of traffic now. I pulled a little forward so I could see under her tires. I told her to move slowly forward... The squirrel started to go toward the other side of the road but was leaning to its right side and wobbling a little. He walked just fine but it was obvious he had some vision issues. A nice guy had pulled his van over to the side and had a plastic tub and was trying to catch it. Yep ... you guessed it... the squirrel ran under MY car.. Well HELL!! I couldnt drive over it... so I waited.. now there were about 10 cars total held up. The guy helped direct my car past the squirrel. It ran to the side of the road and there now was a woman and the man trying to chase it toward the edge of the street... What happened to the squirrel? No idea... I was finally ahead of the squirrel so I drove off... While telling Daddy the story... Here was His response... "Where's my shotgun. Riley we are gonna have us some squirrel soup!!" Me: "Daddy!!!!!!" :readfineprint: :shocking: :hammer: :readrules: :dots: |
