- that i have a birthday coming up, but i'm not saying when..(and yes, it's hidden here LOL) ...

- i think chocolate & peanut butter could be the very best combination in the world and i think it sucks that it's not healthy , especially the reese peanut butter cups!

- i quite often grab a spoon or spatula, turn around dramatically and see an audience awaiting a perfect performance, complete with song & dance....especially 'i will survive' - i've got the moves!!! *grinz*

- i am learning to be good to myself, take care of myself, and love myself.. when i truly achieve this goal wholeheartedly, i know the bullying, the negative folk & the users in my life will surely not get to me anymore.. i look forward to that!

- i was on a local television show, as a child called 'star date'.. at the beginning of the show, i was sitting in a star, and said the words, 'my name is sylvie - and welcome...to STAR DAAAAAAAAAATE"..

I love plum flavored anything!

I hated going to school until I went to college..then I loved it

I partipated in the Fashion Bug plus size model shows

I sometimes feel like I am so lost in the new technology. I wonder if this is how my parents felt with 8 tracks and cassettes, beepers and car phones.

In my minf, the purest form of humanity is a smile.

Soft*Silver 02-03-2011 01:42 PM

1) I obviously still dont know how to post and delete without deleting the entire post

2) I love the flavor of prune in just about anything

3) I modeled in the plus size fashion bug model show

4) my graduation present was a 74 nova baby blue

5) I burnt the engine out of it because I did not know you had to do something with oil to it

I have brown eyes.
I'm Irish, English, and Scottish ;)
I'm not as happy as I pretend to be.

xoxo.

weatherboi 02-03-2011 02:35 PM

I own a cybersonic toothbrush.
I like cheese and garlic pizza.
I once ate 2 big dinners within hours of each other. Homemade jambalaya that i got to help serve and 2 hours later i was eating chic and waffles in Oakland!!! One of my best food nights ever!!!
I like chocolate milkshakes made with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup.
I want a kindle!!!

proximitywithoutintimacy 02-03-2011 02:42 PM

Obviously I owe y'all two more things... wow, I really need to pay attention.

- I'm not a fan of cheese on pizza. It has to be easy cheese, extra sauce, and toppings... I know, I'm weird ;)

- I have a tendency to look for something with one hand... while the thing I'm actually looking for is in my other hand. LOL.

  1. I was a DJ for a radio station
  2. My being described as anal is a misguided rumor. Ok, there might be a small chance of this being true. :|
  3. I would like the own the complete collection of the Twilight Zone
  4. I am readaholic
  5. I think the over use and misuse of the word "love" has contributed to its power being lost when spoken.

Medusa 02-06-2011 07:55 PM

1. I watch a LOT of Youtube. Mostly videos on how to do stuff like can jelly, raise chickens and grow veggies.

2. I am fascinated with fresh herbs and thinking about trying my hand again (killed everything last year)

3. The idea of Spring arriving revs up my obsession with all green veggies

4. I don't have enough time to do everything I want...not even CLOSE to enough time so I usually go through cycles of hiding from my to-do list or staying up for days at a time to work down my to-do list. No happy medium there

5. The other night, I had a dream that a baby elephant was trying to pet me with her snotty pink nose.

*I only use manure for growing things in my garden. The soil is horrible. Everything I plant, grows, spreads, and comes back year after year. I have sent some of my clippings to friends in other states where the clippings are growing.

*I dream a lot.

*I enjoy living simply.

*I have hummingbirds that land on my head and shoulders whenever I walk outside in my backyard. Doesn't matter if I have the dog and cats with me or not. I always have a bird on my head or on my shoulder.

*I talk to God every day.

Kenna 02-06-2011 08:21 PM

I enjoy wearing my hiking boots, bluejeans and favorite well worn Tshirt ah-hell-of-a-lot better than I like wearing fancy dress/work clothes and uncomfortable dress shoes/boots. (I don't like being told I am a "girl" or I look "femmie".)

I would rather go on a long hiking/camping trip than be locked up in a stuffy old building all day or go shopping.

I miss hiking on Skyline Drive and spending the day next to a secluded waterfall.

I want to get my pilot's license and also learn to teach Tai Chi and Self Defense Classes.

My dream home is a small cabin or Yurt, very secluded and far away from "civilization"....far enough away that the US Mail doesn't even make deliveries. I'd have my pilot's license and a plane or helicopter to go get supplies when I needed to stock up.

bigbutchmistie 02-06-2011 09:57 PM

I have developed arthiritis in my hips, back, and upper legs from falling down the stairs at my apt

Ive never spent a Valentine's Day, My Birthday, or the Holidays with someone special

Im very high strung

Im currently developing a huge attraction for Hispanic women (One In particular has my attention :)

I havent slept through the night in years.. I wake up every other hour

Soft*Silver 02-06-2011 10:54 PM

I LOVE tangerines. Most fruit I love but especially tangerines

I can never remember jokes. Nor movies. Nor books. I can have a vague notion of what happened but have to watch it all over again to get it. Unless its like the Wizard of Oz...Of course I know what happens!

I am terrified of getting hurt. Always have been. So its stopped me from roller skating, sled riding, swimming, etc. My mother convinced me as a youngster that if I tried any of these things, I would break a leg or something. To this day, I panic if someone tries to get me to try one of these activities. (Yet, I have ridden a horse down the side of a rocky hill, through a rough river and into bellyhigh snow drifts...)

I never went to kindergarten

I am good friends with a well known professional magician.

Lynn 02-07-2011 05:16 AM

This morning, I woke up in a panic, thinking that I'd left the dog outside last night. I hadn't. But, now I'm wide awake.

I'm noticing a change in my mood as we are getting some of the clutter handled and stuff cleared out of the house. It's a good change.

I think my daughter would rather spend time at her dad's house, now that he lives with his fiancee and her two young children. I understand, but, :(

We have four of the most interesting cats, ever. All so affectionate and funny.

We are so lucky to have great neighbors. One of them was on our roof for several hours last night, chopping ice and pushing off tons of snow. We sent pizza (to his house, not the roof).

*I love big screen tvs, but don't have one.

*A screened in porch is something of a must have for me.

*I enjoy watching fire works, but hate the noise after they explode. I would much rather watch them on TV and turn off the sound.

*Sliding on the floor in my socks is fun to do.

*I have to thank Jack and Linus for turning me onto pipes. They calm me down quite a bit. :hangloose:

I write really creepy stories that would probably make you not want to talk to me. Seriously. I rarely let anyone see them. I have had a few of them published in tiny obscure publications. I didnt even get paid. Under a different name. Dont ask. I wont share. I started this type of writing after reading a Steven King book about writing. I went deep and dark and these came out.

I often wonder why we have so few cemetaries when so many people have died over the years. Think about it. Seriously. Just in the past five years, in our country, the number of deaths that have occurred would have filled how many graves in already existing cemetaries? If our populations are aging and more people are dying, why are we building homes at a faster rate than we are developing new cemetaries? And where are the cemetaries for the people from a hundred years ago? two hundred?

I find rudeness is the self righteous cousin of bulliness

I chew ALOT of gum

I have lost 2" off my height over the years...

Gráinne 02-08-2011 12:58 AM

@Softness-good question. Probably, many have been lost to urban development or simply overgrown. Most cemeteries were one or two families, very small. The huge garden creations came about only around the turn of the last century (Forest Lawn,Spring Grove, etc.). Preservation and maintenance began when cemeteries became almost another city park, except with people buried in it.

1. This one's pretty obvious-I love cemeteries, and they don't squick me out at all. I'd be a celebrity grave hunter, if I lived in a celebrity town, but I don't want to disrespect their resting places, either.

I would have a field day (no pun intended) in the Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn alone, but it is closed up tight.

2. I can sight-read music; sometimes play a tune just by ear.

3. I can somewhat read Russian; speaking and actually forming sentences is another story. I like to teach myself languages for fun.

4. Crime and Punishment might be my favorite book. (No, I don't read that in Russian :P)

5. I love true-crime books. I always need a collection of Ann Rule for airplane rides.

NJFemmie 02-08-2011 06:23 AM

.... on the cemetery thing ... shortly after I moved here, Mare and I decided to have lunch at a local cemetery. In fact, we've visited just about every one in the area - most of them date back to the 1700-1800's. We enjoy (what most people would consider) creepy things.

Lately, my dreams have been very bizarre and very busy. I've been waking up exhausted (and confused) because of it.

I am noticing that my typing has consisted of more typos. Thank God for the backspace button - and yes, it's concerning me a bit. I just realized that my typo issue might be because Max likes to jump on my keyboard and then sit in front of the light source blocking my view of the keyboard. :/

I have a knack for forecasting weather.

I have a love for anything ancient especially mythology - Greek being my favorite subject.

Daktari 02-08-2011 06:31 AM

I've met Prince Charles - we spoke about parachutes

I've played in Phil Collins' band - for a week (A Princes Trust week)

I really don't believe I'm smart despite being a member of MENSA

I don't have a driving license

I hate my Pops when he calls me by my birth name rather than a name I find acceptable, which he does all the time.

Blade 02-08-2011 07:18 AM

I'm learning to relax, it's hard but I'm learning

I've watched about 6 or 8 movies in the last 7 months, that is 6 or 8 more than in the last 10 or 15 yrs combined

I sleep better in a sitting position and with Skippy than I do lying down or without Skippy

I love the smell of clothes hung out on the clothesline but they make me sneeze

I hate procrastination and am probably one of the worlds worst for it, and I don't know what to do about it.
