Asking healing for myself today kinda selfishly.
I was in a tornato on tues which tossed me through the air. And I find out today if my foot is broke. I was very lucky I was not 1 foot back or I would have lean't sailing the hard way..lol Many tree's and some damage but otherwise I was the only one hurt. My partner has now named me DOROTHY..lol |
Today my thoughts and prayers are with Lady Pamela, and in honor of July 4th for our soldiers, and vets. May God bless each and every one of you all.

Today I also light a candle for the woman that wrecked her motocycle and her husband. I say a prayer of gratitude that they were not both injured. I say a prayer for any guilt felt, for quick healing, and for a safe trip back to Canada from here. I say a prayer of thanks for my wife being the human she is as she stopped to help until the calvary rode in. I give a prayer of thanks for her training and knowledge so she could prevent the woman from sustaining further injuries. I say a prayer for Can_Marie and peace in her soul as she deals with her father's passing. |

For my friend Milana, who is getting weaker and weaker as Stage 4 lung cancer courses through her life...For Germ warfare. A whole bunch of candles for this nasty headcold that has given me the miseries, more than a week off work and seems to get worse every morning. For the girl who is getting better from pneumonia slowly but surely. |

I just heard Amy Winehouse (sp) was found dead in her London apartment. Suspected Heroine Overdose. I didn't follow her music, I can't even spell her name. I followed her struggles, for purely personal reasons. Hoping she would win. She did her last stint in rehab in May.
Lighting a candle for that damn disease. Amy, I hope you find a better place. |

This past year I beg to differ,,, My uncle and his son my cousin died of lung cancer and pancreatic cancer on the same day on Labor day. My dad passed away on April 20th of heart complications. Now my room mate and best friend of over 18 years has just been diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer at 48 years old and is having his first chemo treatment in the hospital today. My heart can not stand much more pain. I just packed up all of my fathers hospice supplies only to see them all out again for my friend. Please light a candle for him. Thanks Leese.:confused: |

I haven't even been able to open this thread for a while... So many candles... So much fear for those I love... Cancer is a scary thing, and all to prominent among the group I hold dear right now. Radiation, chemo, complications. Everyday right now I make sure to touch base with 3 blessed souls who are struggling with all of this...
I light a candle for them... :candle: And today, specifically for my friend T... who is now... officially, a Cancer Survivor!!! :candle: |
