I confess - since getting the house I have killed many wasps. Then I apologize to them.

Asari 11-29-2013 04:55 PM

I only kill vermin (e.g. spider mites on my cactus).

I will smash a spider so damn fast....if it scares me....its OVER. I did that to a snake in my garden once I felt bad after I had chased it around the place I was getting ready to plant with the lawn mower....it scared me! Finally beat it to death with a rake and threw it out into the road to be run over.
I still feel bad for it....but man that thing scared the hell out of me.

I have this bad feeling that if reincarnation is real..i'll be reincarnated as a bug or spider..that should teach me,huh

No really,there are some bugs/insects i don't kill like ladybugs,grasshoppers,praying mantis,those are some i won't harm.

I haven't killed any bugs lately but i have killed tons of spiders, the biting ones for sure.

I have a crab spider in my bedroom,if he stays out of my way he'll live.

well... My only question is.. Is it going to hurt me? If no, then I either move it or leave it alone.. Spiders are awesome..like watching them actually.. Mosquitos fall in the hurt me file, so they get smacked wracked and sprayed .. House flies fall in the gross file.. Same result as previous.. Bees.. Carefully escort out the door, (did you know there is a shortage ? They are dying off in alarming rates) snakes.. Rock.. And that's my other answer. 😀

If I came back as a bug, I'd probably want someone to kill me because I'd throw up every time I saw my arms and legs. :bucktooth:

I try not to kill anything deliberately but given there are estimated to be some 30000 living things in every square inch of dirt, I am probably a mass murderer.

It's only murder if it was cute before you killed it. :)

Yah but it's hard to forget that even the ugliest one had a mom that loved it.

Rest easy in the knowledge that your life would be very, very short. Hours.....days,....3-6 months for a German cockroach.....a year or two for female spiders....less for male....as long as you didn't come back a cicada. Well, you'd be stuck with yourself then.

TruTexan 07-31-2015 07:24 PM

I kill snakes, can't stand them and rarely ever do I have to but sometimes, the poisonous ones get wayyyy to close to me(like on my porch or yard).
I kill spiders and flies if they are in my apt. I can't stand the pesky things. Bees are dying off and farmers need them to pollinate for our food resources so bees are escorted out the door and shooed away off my porch. Wasps on the other hand, don't stand a chance, I'm allergic to some of them.
And Ground hornets........oh hell no.... DIE Mother fucker DIE.... crunch crunch crunch when you step on them.

70 to 100 years as a human being?????

CherryWine 08-01-2015 09:22 AM

This thread is highly entertaining. :lol2:

I killed a house centipede in a coworker's office the other day after hearing her have a conniption fit. Talk about oh hell no. Have y'all seen those things? They're fast, they're creepy, and supposedly they bite. Eww.

Neither of us had seen one before so we Googled "fast brown bug with a lot of legs" and it was the first thing that popped up. Haha.

Karysma 08-01-2015 09:22 AM

I used to be an avid bug/spider killer.. as in 'get someone else to do it'. However after being with my spouse-ish as long as I have I have discovered their uses and realize that they are merely out of their environment. Now I am in the 'other' category... I would get someone else to remove them from my environment and take them outside.

I have an irrational fear of bugs and spiders. I don't think there is a chance in hell that I could capture one and take it outside. I have however been known to trap one under a bowl and leave it for someone else to take out at a later date!

I know there is no danger to me. I suppose I need to work on that damn fear!

German cockroaches. The really tiny, round, dark ones that are so hard to get rid of once you have them. Other cockroaches live different life spans as do different spiders. I should have been more specific. Black widows and the like are in the 1-2 years for a female and much less for a male because, well, they are black widows.

I try not to; but sometimes it's unavoidable - like the mosquito from a few nights ago. I still haven't caught that sucker, but when I do it's going down.

I hate to do it, but it broke the social contract. Now it has to pay. After I get it, I'll have to try to work in a bunch of good deeds to even out my karma.

:praying:

Spiders

I am an environmental scientist, I like most creatures and I really like spiders. I kill scorpions inside the house because they hurt humans and the kitties. If I lived somewhere with roaches I would kill them too. I also kill fire ants. Basically if it will hurt me, my sweetheart, my family, and the kitties it has to go (inside the house).

JDeere 08-01-2015 10:00 PM

DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE if they get into the house!

No sir, no bugs in this house, I don't tolerate it!

LOL
