I agree that Jason is just dumber than a rock. As we say here in the south, "Bless his heart" (translate: He is so fucked up!)
I just plow through each book and I am glad that the show is following pretty closely to the plot of the books. The creative licensing I see is done well enough to keep me watching and engaged, waiting to see what happens next. Erik is smokin - there is something about his comfort in his power that just draws one in. Pam is smokin in the portrayal of a strong woman who submits because she is inspired to - something I can relate to. Sookie grates my last nerve sometimes because even as much as you want to hug her, I just wanna shake her and tell her that it aint all about her all the time! I am a tad disappointed in the show's portrayal of Sophie. She wasn't quite the obnoxious bitch in the books. I still see interesting parallels in the vamps and othering and the LGBTIQ worlds. Russell's words to Erik in the limo about (paraphrasing here) "If we vamps would stop infighting we could conquer the humans in a day" could easily read, to me, "If we queers stopped infighting, we might be surprised at how we could change the inequities we face." |
Sophie is a BITCH. It was about time we see Eric's clenched hand around her throat!! :)

I did have questions about her title, and the fact Eric is almost as old as Russell {with the exception of the now Toasted Godric} but under her command, which answered all my questions in one swoop when he choked her.... Not liking the HBO version of Claudine. She seems a little boring.
Sophie-Anne looked VERY pretty today. Yay pretty vampire! So. Eric turned Hadley into a vampire. Whoop-di-doo. I think the reason Bill didn't die of sun when Tara threw him out of the truck is because of Sookie's blood. SPOILER ALERT for those who haven't read the books: Because of Sookie's FAERIE blood. God, Pam is hot. I miss Jessica. I do NOT like Hoyt's new ladyfriend. Now I'm gonna go to work. :( |

Not sure about Claudine either. I pictured her more femme fatale looking. She's too soft. Plus I want to see her in the human world. But I guess I'll see how it plays out. Will there be a Claude?
It's weird that the show is taking elements of the books but putting them in different places. Like Bill almost killing Sookie - similar but not quite. I'd rather it be totally different or the same, the almost the same bits throw me off and make me question my memory dammit. My fave character at the moment is the King. Such a great, just over the top enough but not too much, performance. Also, being a geek - I don't like when they break the rules. only first borns are supposed to be born shifters. Sam's brother shouldn't be one by book rules. Oh well, I'm along for the ride regardless. |

Lafayette has cool lines, leave him be, lol... Russell went from being an antiquated bourgeois {and really old} Queen to take-charge conniving {and awesome} King... I'm figuring out if his long-time companion has anything to be concerned about where Eric is concerned {there's supposed heavy assumptions on his bi side}, that and when u really really want Revenge, you'll pretty much do anything {and anyone} Bill's long been written off as a putz{imo}, although...Kinda glad Lorena's gone.... On that same token, more's the pity the Magister is gone too, but gawd Damn, what a way to Go.... That was fuckin awesome... Pam owe's Russell... Maybe in hbo series, Sam and his lil brother have different Pappys?... I agree that Sookie needs less lines....nevermind the fact the whole thing revolves around her whiny eccentric taste in boytoy ass.... She needs to get over Bill soon, get into Alcide, then Eric.. And yes they tend to transplant storylines... For instance {spoiler!} Eric's storyline to marry Sookie, trick her into it, to protect her... Among other things that Franklin and Tara seemed to be doing instead {and btw, so far, Franklin hasn't resurrected, boo} Bills non-krispy-crisp ability could well be because of Sookie's Blood... Jason and Sookie do share same blood, or should... {More Spoilage} After all they both share same Faery grandparents, Sookie has mind-reading + other goodies, jason has irresistable stupid stud, and in a way, i think he's aware and abuses it subconsciencely..... I wanna see more Lafayette + Jesus sub-plot, his one liner's are kick-ass, worth repeat..I did like his line on cussing, how many "fucks" do u think would it take to assume it'll revive her?? Oh, and Lots more WereFolk, Nao ...plz?? Biscuit girl is almost as annoying as Jessica, but at least Jessica had a reason.... Perpetual Young {and redhead} vampire w/o a clue... Queen Sophie's cute...as always, and her human pet is now useless to her , Eric has the insider trade, the hold and importance, i think, went to shit.... Although... like Pam, her allegiance is to her maker....{lucky bitch} |
Did anyone notice that the wonderful final dinner as a human Franklin promised Tara was to be at a Shoney's? And did you get that look on her face when he told her where he wanted to take her?

Rook, do you think Eric turned Hadley? I'm not quite sure since he gave her some of his blood after she told him whatever it was she whispered. It wasn't until Russell and Eric visited Sophie Ann that I realized Hadley was still human...they were somewhat vague in the episodes from last season - Eric playing Yahtzee - omg I think he'd rather have been staked.

I think Hadley was just a blood doll, something to be fed off, since she's related to Sookie, maybe her Blood *and the Type-ahem-* is just as Delicious for the Queen, proving Hadley is pretty useful to Eric in his desire to have Sookie for himself & blackmail the Queen for possible Revenge against Russell-cough- ?
