G'day Kitcheneers *holds head* seems I had an extra v&t last night bleeeeurgh!! Now that was really silly :seconddoh: Anyhoo, it's a gorgeous day and we've got a barbecue party to go to...I shall be doing a 'turn' of course - if I can remember lyrics and chords! Thank-you for the tea lipstixgal, I need a gallon or so :pendulum: Breakfast? I couldn't possibly, not just yet! I wish y'all a fantastic day with smiles, laughter and love. |
Good morning friends :)
:bringcoffee: Putting on a fresh pot of coffee and :tea: for everyone...and setting out the apricot scones (they turned out fabulous...thanks for the recipe darkcrystal...I LOVE it). I feel like baking cinnamon rolls this morning...the good yeasty kind loaded with brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon and chopped pecans. Mmmmm... This is gonna be a yardwork weekend for me I think...the yard needs mowing, the weeds need pulling, and the climbing roses at the front of the house grew so big with all the rain that they pulled the trellis over...think a little pruning is in order :giggle: Our fireworks are tonight...the little village we live in has a nice little display, we walk down to the park about 5 blocks from the house, sit on a blanket on the grass with the other 1,000 or so folks who live here, have a soft ice-cream cone with sprinkles, and watch the fireworks that they set off over the playing fields. Definitely "small town" but lots of fun. :) Hope you're all having a nice leisurely Saturday morning :rrose: :lips: baby...miss you already :stillheart: |

Well took a walk for the dogs of course!! Had some nice coffee latte with some chocolate and a croissant with butter and jam sweet!! Jo don't work too hard on the lawn its getting hot out there, hopefully the dogs will sleep and I can watch tv!!
|
Iced latte sounds delicious Lips :)
I went out and mowed the front yard, then weeded the really overgrown, horrible side of the front yard...took about an hour and a half and I came in sweaty and filthy. Straight into the shower and laid down for a little bit...and now I'm just flaked out in front of the tv watching the comedy channel. Still have to do the back yard, but that might wait until tomorrow! :) Hope everyone's having a great day! |

you made some scones? awesome and apricot sounds brilliant! i will be spending the day and night tomorrow with my sister and her family at their beach house...it is in a village that does not have a fireworks ordinance so weill be watching all of her neighbors blow themselves up! She said it is quite a show, it goes on for hours, we can see perfectly from her porch, and they pretty much light up the whole beach....so no driving and no $ and plenty of adult beverages once the cherub goes to sleep Quote:
breakfast for dinner is always a hit with me- bacon and eggs delish any time but it seems especially good at dinner, i'll never understand it....i guess it is such a warm cozy smell- and having it at the end of the day when all of the hard stuff is over, instead of at the beginning of the day with the hard stuff ahead of you- just makes it that much cozier! or something |
Sneaking thru the kitchen on tip toes....just need coffee, heh.
Our Canada Day was great. One day of rest and then it was the 15th Dyke March Day of our 30th Pride. Weather was hot hot hot. The crowds were awesome.....and if you have any kind of social phobia, the streets were not the place to be, it was one huge street party. I don't usually do the festivities two days in a row.......I'm not 19 anymore, so I have to pick and choose my partying very carefully *hee hee* Wishing all my favourite American friends here a very happy 4th of July celebration. All the best, *freyja* |
Good Morning Kitcheneers!! What should we have for breakfast. How about pancakes cooked to order with some scrambled eggs and cheese, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and toast. Sets out strong coffee and :tea::koolaid: tea for those who want it!! I see that freyja came in this morning early, hope you had fun at Pride Freyja!!:rrose:

Happy Fourth of July Everyone!!
Hope you all have a wonderful holiday and have plenty of fun!! Zimmy |
Good morning all :)
Thank you for breakfast Lips :girleating: I had a little bit of a late start this morning...making a leisurely Sunday breakfast for my son (not something I normally get to do since he's usually with his father) and enjoying that 2nd cup :coffee: now that he's been picked up. Today is another yard work day for me...and maybe getting stuck into some housework as well...with a kid, 4 cats and 2 dogs it's a constant job. Nice to know that I have Monday off as well....yay! :cheer: Getting ready to do a bit more "possession pruning" too...I've done a bunch but realize that I haven't missed a single thing that I got rid of...and need to get packing some more as well...think my plate is full for the weekend. :cheesy: Hope you all have a great day! :rrose: :lips: baby :stillheart: |
