Lighting a candle for our local firefighters today. We have one who lost his life and eight who are hospitalized after fighting a blaze in a medical complex downtown today. Thoughts and prayers to all, and especially to the wife and three children of the fallen. :candle::praying:

I am lighting a candle for my old supervisor. She lost her mother about the middle of July and lastnight, she got a phone call at work, telling her, that her father was on life support. Losing a parent is very hard; but losing both parents within a month of each other is harder. My thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family in this time..

Lighting a candle for those who need it today, hoping that it lights your way and guides you on the path thats right for you! :-) Also lighting this candle for Jack Layton, leader of the NDP political party here in Canada, who died this morning from cancer at age 61 (its the second cancer he's been fighting this year). I may not be into politics but I admired Jack's strength and courage, and thought he was one of the nicest and one of the few most honest politicians who cared about people and fought to make Canada a *MUCH* better country ............. R.I.P Jack, you were taken away from us far too soon but rest assured you will NEVER be forgotten :praying: |
