I also barted my barber services for : tea, spice/herb blends, jams/jellies, lunch, granola, honey and a couple of other little things. After the market I finished grocery shopping and found some great things for my camping travels on clearance |

In the cafeteria at work I tried to buy a blended coffee with skim milk, 3 shots of espresso and sugar-free caramel syrup but they never, ever give me what I ask for so I've resigned myself to accepting whatever they choose to give me. 1 shot and whole milk? No problem! Here's my $5.00. Oh you want a tip too? I have to draw the line somewhere...it ticks me off because I work darn hard to keep my customers happy. Idk...that's life, I guess.

5 lbs locally-smoked bacon*, 2 lbs locally made and seasoned Italian sausage, 2 lb thick chops, all from locally and naturally-raised pigs, plus two dozen eggs from truly free-range chickens (as in, get the hell away from my car as I'm trying to drive away level of free range). All picked up from the farm where it's all from. BUY/EAT LOCAL!!
*Yes, baby bro, I'll TRY to save some for you, but if you don't get down here to visit any time soon, I'm not guaranteeing you anything! Remember, the gf will be here for 2.5 weeks and parents will be here for a week, so there's no guarantees! I'll get more if I can, though. :) |

At Farmer's Market Number 2: sweet peas, rhubarb jam At the used book store: 5 books At the flea market: 3 Golden Snitches, two silver spoons, and a big bowl that we stuck a plant in. At the Garden Store: 2 bags of potting soil, 5 bags of Garden Dirt (we have terrible clayey soil), melon seeds and a gourd plant. And then we came home and planted stuff! And tonight, it's rhubarb pie making time. |
