A trip to the Old Reed Gold Mine with Shelia, my car turning over to 100,000 miles along the way, learning the finer points of gold panning, dinner at Lupie's and an amazing birthday cake from Edible Art of Charlotte...
Best part of the day...the cards from Shelia...one was so beautiful it made me cry... Yeah, I am one lucky lil' femme! |

The Universe truly provides! Went out today to have a relaxing day with Jack and Uncle Terri - Had a delicious lunch and did a little shopping. When we came back to the house, we got there before Uncle Terri and I proceeded to clear the table in hopes of whipping their asses at a game of Skip-bo or Monopoly. Lo and behold, Uncle Terri gets to the house and shows up with THIS: http://www.luggage.com/Samsonite-38442-1073-FE2465.html ALL FOR MEEEEE!! I had JUST been telling Jack not even a week ago that I was going to have to break down and go buy one of these to save my aching shoulders from having to lug my work laptop back and forth every day and Uncle Terri shows up with a brand new one and says, "Hey, do you want this?" Uh, YEAH?!! It's weird because it kinda fell into Uncle Terri's lap this week but he didn't need it. SCORE! And now? 360-degree rolling BLISS! |

IT's cool outside!!!! It's 64 degrees right now in Houston. Haven't felt that for at least 4 months. Gosh I love Autumn. :cold::clap::bringcoffee:

Wild Coyote Grrl eating from the same bowl with my furkids She knows winter is coming and stays at the homestead until a mate comes to her. Wild baby Raccoons sleeping on the rug in front of the fire. They are also no longer afraid. ( I should say half wild now). It makes me smile to see us all living in harmony here :)

It's my birthday!! heh heh.........giggle,snort,grin, and all that jazz.

went to see my surgeon today for post op. He was very happy with how well I am healing. I got the go ahead to add foods slowly. So of course I went and got a salad and a piece of raspberry pie! LOL. It was SOO OOOO good! But I paid for it. My stumach is much smaller than it was. Oh, and I only lost 12 lbs but he said it seems like more because my whole trunk was swollen with how inflammed my esophagus is. I will be out of breath until the lung re inflates...he seems to think it will. I dunno. I trust him but that sounds odd. But anyways, I am doing good and that put a huge smile on my raspberry pie face!

seeing my cat eyein' the hamster cage again today...
yesterday, he almost got the hamster, somehow he (Pete) got out of the cage and was chillin' in a lil basket next to the cage.. my cat (Gibson) was sitting on the corner of my son's bed, waiting... i walked in at just the right time it seems! but, my cat has been peeved with me since.. |
