I'm a day late in posting this, but a dear favorite actor of mine, Terence Stamp, passed away yesterday at the age of 87.
Mr. Stamp came to my attention, back in the day, when the movie, "Priscilla Queen of the Desert" came out. He played the role of "Bernadette", one of the three drag queens (also starring Hugo Weaving and Guy Pearce as the other 2 queens) who took off to the Outback of Australia in an old travel they dubbed as "Priscilla". Bernadette (Stamp) was absolutely HILARIOUS and to this day, PQOTD continues to be at the top of my list of absolute favorites!! The soundtrack is absolutely stellar and a great tribute to the golden days of disco music and dance. Here's one of Mr. Stamp's most remarkable scenes that always get me laughing my ass off!!! And this is more about Terence Stamp: RIP, Mr. Stamp. I'm going to miss you. ~Theo~ :bouquet: |
Ding dong, the wicked a-hole is dead (yesterday’s obituary)
Rest in hell, James Dobson
This person of the Christofascist Right was a Nazarene (my parents were Catholic (dad), Nazarene (mom) ). My parents believed every single sordid cruel mean worded beliefs, Dobson preached hate and made his millions off of the Nazarene “sheep” who bought his load of bullshit, hook line and sinker. Because of this horrid hater, my parents tried to get me “fixed” and of course, I didn’t need to be “fixed.” Be careful what you believe in or wish for. :tinfoil: :vigil: :byebye: |
Okay, so one of my most admired actors, Mr. Graham Greene, has passed away on September 1, 2025.
Mr. Greene had many noteable roles in films such as "Dances with Wolves" (he played "Kicking Bird", 1990), "The Green Mile" ("Arlen Bitterbuck", 1999) and "Die Hard With a Vengeance", 1995), among many others. He was 73 years old and had been battling a long illness. RIP, Mr. Greene. You will be missed!! :praying: :vigil: :heartbeat: ~Theo~ :bouquet: |
