Grey's Anatomy. Anything remotely sad on tv or movies makes me cry. Sad stuff in person, I am pretty stoic.

I'm the same way. Movies, commercials, songs, etc....I weep like a willow. Death, dismemberment, travesty in general in front of me....I say "Let's keep your fingers on ice so they might be able to be reattached" and move on. :blink:

You shoulda seen me when I got high off of tile mastic while putting down new flooring in the gymnasium at Job Corp. I'd NEVER been high in my life... but that day I acted like the student that huffed freon from the air conditioners! (Thinking back, I think I killed some brain cells when I was seein' hello kitty in the designs on the floor tiles!)

LOL

I was outside with a nice breeze... but still, maybe bending over that bucket wasn't the best idea...

News crap gives me a headache. May I please go back to sports. It's infinitely more interesting than politicians, the legality of bingo and other various and asundry things. *sigh*

OH MY WORD!! LOL
Bending over a 5gal bucket of mastic is EXACTLY how I got high!
I was sitting on the gym floor cross legged...with a bucket that was almost empty... mastic is VERY sticky... so I clamped my legs around the bucket and reached in with the trowel with my head just above the bucket... it only took a few moments to make me "VERY LOOPY!"

Lesson: Be careful bending over buckets!
Ya don't wanna be as LOOPY as Ms. Sweet in her pink hardhat and oversized steel-toed boots!

Gemme would like proof of such an event. Pictures will suffice but video is preferred. Thank you.

Ohhhh Gemmie! YOU ARE OVER THE TOP!!
But I LOVE it!
No proof of event.... only pictures taken by the boss of me standing ontop of a 6' high cinder-block wall just when I was about to rip into the kid that was high on freon, when he nearly knocked me off said wall.

The boss didn't make me 'fore-woman' without good cause! Making me fore-woman is why he said I had to wear a pink hardhat...so he could pick me out of the crowd!!! (HEY, I was the only woman and the only one with size DD bra!!...why did I need that hardhat... cuz I really admired Mr. Baldwin and it was all in good fun!) But I was FUNNY ontop that wall...all scared of heights and grabbing onto the nearest fence pole while I screamed at that kid. All in good fun!!! I learned SO MUCH at Job Corps, not just my trade.... but how to get high WITHOUT even trying! LOL!!

Nope, sorry sweetie... Job Corps wasn't accustomed to women requesting to be in construction trade classes, so they only had large men's size boots and large uniforms (I was less than 100lbs... so I had LOTs of room in my boots and uniform!)... ohhhh my feet hurt so bad!! But I think my big boots and sassy-ness kept me from falling off that wall!

I now am indebted to the old man bastard who hovers around at our job. He was the only one still at the paper when the pre-press guys discovered an error on one of our sports pages. Ever tried to talk a non-computer type through a complicated program? Damn. Just damn.

If you love somebody,
set them free.
If they return, they were always yours.
If they don’t, they never were.

Mariah Carey - Butterfly

When you love someone so deeply
They become your life
It's easy to succumb to overwhelming fears inside
Blindly I imagined I could
Keep you under glass
Now I understand to hold you
I must open up my hands and watch you rise
Chorus

Spread you wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly (Oooh)
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be, so spread your wings and fly
Butterfly
Verse 2

I have learned that beauty
Has to flourish in the light
Wild horses run unbridled
Or their spirit dies
You have given me the courage
To be all that I can
And I truly feel your heart will
Lead you back to me when you're
Ready to land
Chorus

Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly (Oooh)
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me, we truly were meant to be
So spread your wings and fly (spread your wings and fly)
Butterfly (butterfly)
Bridge

I can't pretend these tears
Aren't overflowing steadily
I can't prevent this hurt from
Almost overtaking me
But I will stand and say goodbye (stand and say goodbye)
For you'll never be mine
Until you know the way it feels to fly
Chorus

Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly (Oooh)
Fly abandonedly into the sun (fly to the sun)
If you should return to me (I will know you're mine)
We truly were meant to be (spread your wings and fly)
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly (my butterfly)
Chorus

Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be (you and I)
So spread your wings and fly (spread your wings and fly)
Butterfly
So flutter through the sky
Butterfly
Fly
Spread your wings and fly
Butterfly.

DEDICATION

Today is my parents 59th Wedding Anniversary.

My Mom wanted me to look up this poem for her and my father - and print it for them. I would just like to share it here too.

I was very fortunate (and I know I mention this often, my love for them) to have such wonderful, loving and caring parents. They truly have become my best friends. And if it wasn't for them, HONESTLY - I really wouldn't fully understand what "unconditional love" IS, as I now know it to be.

So, I thank them for ALL they've given to me, to us kids.
__

Please open and read if you like. SMILE... I like to share!

Drum: Ouiser, can we call a truce long enough for me to get a piece of cake?
[Ouiser slices him the tail piece of an armadillo cake]
Drum: Aww, thanks Ouiser. Nothin' like a good piece of ass.
:cracked::cracked:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
hmm...watching the old "Annie"
they really didn't have anything nice to say to or about Sandy huh?
fuck...
"dumb dog"
"dumb-looking"
"champion, anything but"
"kittens would frighten him"
it still astonishes me he bothers to cross the street to her after that song..
