Even burned bridges, can be rebuilt.

I've been spending some time away from virtual life, and in the real world with a dear Ex who was at deaths door. Years together and years ago we had an ugly breakup, and both suffered horribly, emotionally and financially. She kept me away from a child we had raised that was then 17 , for over a year. I left her for a younger woman in 1997. We were cordial over the years, my daughter Leia and I made peace and eventually Peggie and I came to a place of phone calls every now to chat about Leia ,Leia's seperation and reconciliation with hubby and always when we get pictures of the grandkids.

Sept. 18 she was dying, she was unable to breathe and called me, and simply said " Can you come by, I'd like to talk to you. I want you to have Freedom (her cat) if anything happens."

As some of you that know me personally and we have talked, it has been a journey of physical and emotional healing and hope. I rushed through 45 minutes of traffic and rushed her to the hospital that day. She spent some time in Cardiac ICU and Seven weeks later she is better, not completely better, but COPD and pulmonary hypertension are improved. Peg's son is in Oregon. Friday Leia and the family moved from Ellsworh AFB South Dakota to Wright Patterson in Ohio.

So, even when we have loved and lost and moved on, there is a time and a place that you may feel the hand of a higher power taking charge of your life. So, I have let Go and am going with the day to day flow of cosmic energy and karmic reality. I am going to watch football, then go pick her up and take her to brunch....O 2 tanks and all.

Just stopped by to say thanks for the light from ya'll. :rrose: Keep her in the light and until we can find the place where she needs to be. She can't live alone, and we sure can't live together.

Today I am lighting a candle for, and asking for prayers for, one of My very best friends is in the hospital and is not doing so well now. 12 years ago this December she lost her then fiancee to murder; it was right around xmas in 1999 and she never had the proper chance to grieve. Now last year at the beginning of December, one of her dearest friends was found dead in her apartment and it was ruled a homicide but that was never confirmed. For years she has had a very hard time dealing with his death, and December has seen her in the hospital a few times due to very bad panic/anxiety attacks as well as self harming.

This year will be even harder for her as she deals with the one year anniversary of another friend's death, and already she is very sick. I've been texting with her current boyfriend and another mutual friend and they are very worried that she may not be strong enough to make it past the new year this time. Her body is weak and frail, she is being monitored 24/7 in the hospital by nurses and she has breathing tubes in to help her to breathe properly. I've been with her for a long time as friends; we've had our ups and downs but she has always been there for Me. We are all very worried for her and are praying as hard as we can - so far she is stable but you never know when things might go awry.

Tonight I light a candle for my friend Stephanie. That everything works out in her favor on Monday. And she can find peace and a sense of calm until then. And know her friends are behind her 1000 percent.

Tonight I light a candle and say a prayer for my sister in spirit, T, and her family.

Her brother was killed at his home last night. Possibly over drugs. The investigators are still getting all their details together. The guy that attacked him still not found.

It was sad enough to see what drugs had done to her brother's physical appearance. But when he got into the meth and heroin, the flesh melted away from him. Skin and bones.

They have a rough time ahead of them.

A very dear friend, well, she is family really, is in ICU awaiting her second angioplasty for a femoral blockage. Its impeding circulation to her foot, resulting in purple toes - never a good thing for a diabetic.

Please remember my dear Addie today.

I am asking all of you to light candles and remember a dear friend. Some of you may know, Wicked Suzi from the dash site. She passed on today, my heart hurts for missing her.

Addie came through two stints (blockage in each leg) but did lose a blood vessel in her foot. They were able to restore circulation so we are hopeful she will have a full recovery. Please continue to remember her in your thoughts.

She is home resting now. Very grateful her son went back to rehab when he did and is available to actually be "present" and help her right now. I will talk with her later when she wakes up... and tell her how I think it is pretty nifty that with the balloon in her foot, she can now "walk on air".. soft smile and a mini-happy feet dance.

Huge heads up for those of us still smoking and especially those with any complications regarding diabetes. I have a quit plan in place and will probably ride her tush as much as I can from a distance to please quit also.

We ( my particular age group) are at that time when our close friends are beginning to feel the pains and sicknesses that come with getting older. In as much as I am able, I will be making greater efforts to be healthier for myself, friends and loved ones.

Thanks for warm wishes for our friend. She means a lot to me.

For the elderly Golden Retriever that SoNotHer found dumped in the park today, unable to lift it's hind quarters.

For SoNotHer who happened to be in the right place at the right time to help the injured dog.

For the dispatch person who found someone to come help when all local animal rescue services were closed for the holiday weekend.

For the officers who volunteered to help on their day off to get the dog to a vet who could help.


And a big FU to the jerkface who dumped the gentle creature there instead of taking him to the humane society 3 miles away from the park, or to a veterinarian.

This is for one of My very best friends, Sharon, who was hospitalized in ICU today after having a major seizure. I don't know anything more at this time but no one can see her right now and I'm gonna be worried sick until I know that she is okay ~ I'm praying hard again for her, hoping she will pull through this :-(
