At work I ordered twenty-four residents worth of meds that needed refills since our med person moved to another group home, and I finished all my monthly summaries by the deadline (10th of each month, and I was the only one who did them all today).

Put drawers back. Cooked dinner. Cleaned kitchen loaded dishwasher fed critters for fourth time today. Stripped bed remade cleaned litter boxes (3) made cuppa joe. So freeking tired. :bath::beddybye: |
Made coffee... fed critters.... fell asleep. Feel wiped out.
Just awoke an hour ago. Oh. I did some work on little cabinet doors. Repainted one. They are ready for reinstalling. Look mucho cute. |

Did dishes Cleaned the living room, swept the rugs, cleaned the window sill (hello forgotten tomatoes I put there to ripen ..:blush: ) Finished up the dehydrating and packaging the last (I think) of the hot peppers Scrubbed the backsplash and counter in the kitchen Put more stuff up in the cabinets Unpacked more decorative pretties...they make things more homey! :) Swept my room! Took kitten little and the poodle out for fresh air...where they made friends with some surprise visiting bulls :| Did a heap of recycling Started a purge box Cashed my check on the way to work Slaved away at work for 8 hours |
Just finished baking 5 dozen cookies. Oh yeah, after I came home from work, closing shift! Lol
Entering a cookie contest. Last year I won :) White chocolate cherry shortbread cookies. Each cookie was half way dipped in white chocolate after baking and then the edges where rolled in Xmas sprinkles. Wish me luck:) |
Bought vinyl wallpaper for kitchen and dresser drawers. Only 99 cents at restore. 9 times cheaper than fancy contact paper liner. And ten times more!
Love a bargain! Soooo. Getting closer to done in kitchen.... hally loo ya. Found outdoor light for porch.... $7.50 instead of $65 at Home Depot. Needs cleaning and new paint..... no brainer. And let's see..... made dinner for Roomie bbq pork. Etc. What else.....? Don't remember .... lol. |

I took my big living room rug outside and beat it....let it sit out in the fresh air to cleanse a bit... swept and mopped the floor while the rug was up shook out the tablecloth... organized the kitchen table better put away the dehydrator swept and mopped the bathroom floor had a nice talk with a friend and co worker who I tend to be very chatty with WHILEST I was doing most of the above... :) I HAD wanted to finish up in the kitchen...but now the rest of my house feels more orderly so I can focus on that for tomorrow if time allows, or Thursday before work... ALSO... applied for a job online and set up an interview for tomorrow yay! Oh and I WANT to get dishes done before I leave for work.. we shall see... |

Blather blab blab.... Then.... I decided to start making next year's summer outfits. So far have cut out one top and one jumper. I have an apron dress pattern somewhere that I want to do next. I'm doing some custom details on top. Adding yo yos to the bodice, kind of a peek-a-boo effect. If I have enough I will add some to the hem. The jumper is going to have contrasting pockets and applique dragonflies. Just something to throw on when going to the beach or doing yard work.. There are lots of scraps left... will make more yoyos and....? Simplicity patterns were on sale at Joanne's for 99¢ so I got cute vintage top patterns from the 50's and 70's. Kathy, my favorite waitress at Waffle House got all excited when I showed her... she made the same tops back in the 70's!!!! Must have been popular. :cheer: |

I removed about 75% of the old flooring in the kitchen all the way down to the subfloor. And boy was that a task since the previous owners laid plywood over the original hard tile floor and tiled right on top. Lazy bastards.

finally planted bulbs in my front flower bed, daffodils and tulips, i raked the front yard, got the living room ready for guests next month, went to the grocery, then movie nite :)

Woke up after lunchtime! Result!
Phoned the UK dude I needed to phone about the bullying behaviour I've been subjected to over the last weeks on a (US based) recovery site whilst attending women's meetings. Part of their problem is that they (the women of the groups) think I should have one of the binary gender options on my profile; I don't have a gender ticked because there isn't an option for 'other' folks. They see my picture, a lovely one too I might add ;), and seem to automatically assume that I'm a cis-male. Although last time I was asked if I was MtF :| It's all an intolerant brouhaha. A bunch of ignorant women will not drive me away from something which ultimately enhances my recovery. The lovely man I spoke with was as accepting and sympathetic as I have encountered with a cis-male. After we'd talked and he knew the people he needed to 'have a talk with' he asked, "what would you like in the gender options, other or gender-neutral". Good man! Gender neutral is ace but other will do thankyouverymuch. Watch this space! [so to speak] |
Cleaned and laundry. Now it's time to kick back and watch football!!!

Managed not to collapse today into an emotional tar pit.
Anniversary of my Mother's passing. Roomie's successful recovery from surgery today. Terse note from imaginary friend and fellow traveler. Twice this month. New personal best. Epiphany of the worst kind. The kind you find wedged in a dark hole. Physical and emotional exhaustion. Am finally getting to simple acceptance of what is. What a blessing. :rrose: |
It's been a productive day despite rising late, as is my winter months wont.
Today I've done a step work session with Ms.Bee~sponsee and got lots written. Typed the notes from our genealogy session at the reference library yesterday Done some reading for a different fellowship Waiting on Q picking me up for tonight's homegroup meeting. I'll do another meeting later online. |
I fixed the dang toilet. Was very happy that it was just a mucked up supply line and not the shut off valve as I had originally thought. So...a new flush valve and supply line, things are running like new!! Returned the other parts I didn't need...it's now time to relax.

I finally killed my car. I promised myself not another dime on repairs. I have been waiting for this moment. It's still running but at 224,443 kilometers something horrible happened under the hood. I'm afraid to look...but it's bad! Car shopping soon!

Started My Christmas shopping :blink: With a dozen grand kids, I'm not sure why I procrastinate. Life on the edge for this country boy.

I finally finished tearing apart the last of the kitchen....this isn't a huge kitchen...just mad dirty and I have been procrastinating...
I pulled out the stove and scrubbed the floor under it...and the wall and counter behind it...cleaned the stove itself. I scrubbed the big cabinet next to the stove and the floor in front of it...in preparation for painting tomorrow... I also did maintenance around the house. Swept and bleached the bathroom floor, cleaned the sink. Did dishes and cleaned the kitchen sink. Organized the cupboards now that I have more space to use... Swept the living room carpets...and the floor around it... brought movies back to the library and applied for some more jobs... |
I managed not to bleed to death. Thanks to falling back on field medic training.

Finished watching one of the best movies I've seen in a long, long time (The Normal Heart) I watched it in 3 parts starting last night...I'm going to watch it again before I return it... Made my bed...yeah I kind of suck at that... |

this week i worked until 4:30 wednesday (would have been 5pm but i went in 30 minutes early), thursday had a wonderful thanksgiving dinner (and i helped by making the deviled eggs), friday i did most of my christmas shopping at pennies black friday event, saturday i helped babysit a 3 and a 5 year old (thank you for mccdonalds playplace), today...sunday...i plan to take my mom to the pharmacy and grocery store then a movie and cuddle date :)
the next few weeks will be crazy at work! |

The hardest part was figuring out where I've put all my tools. I don't know why the stud finder was in the drawer in the kitchen. And why was the 13mm socket in with the screw drivers? Oh well, the tv is up and I'm watching Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Now it's time to do my nails. And I know exactly where my polish is :eyebat: |

So I swept the two big living room rugs..and the rest of the living room swept the bathroom and kitchen Organized my cozy corner nook where I exist in the living room... Started roasting some baked potatoes and a sweet potato for lunch/dinner Emptied the trash Did dishes Emptied my cleaning bucket (it' s the first time since I moved in that it HASN'T been in use!) Made some tea :) |
Accomplished quite a bit for a Monday...
Laundry Dishes... Watered chickens Took care of dogs (then carried out/cleaned my girl pup's create after she got sick) Bleached bathroom Decorated several wreaths to sell at the shop Prepared several other things for the shop (trying to finish up shadow boxes) (My favorite activity was....)Spent a few hours hand painting two big projects (customed designed "wall art" on dyed burlap, stretched over huge antique quilting racks) Took a long shower/dressed in shorts/ went outside to enjoy sunshine and clean a bunch of seashells Made a yummy dinner of slow cooked cubed steaks in portabella mushroom gravy, homemade fried green tomatoes and rice Went over state treasury websites for three different states, and explained my exciting findings to my roommate. Retrieved clean crate, busted my ass getting it back in the living room. Delivered 2.5 dozen fresh eggs to my roomie's parents Made myself dessert I'm a happy camper |
Took the dog out, took the trash out and managed to not confuse the two in the process.
Stopped by the produce stand and bought more fruits and veggies for juicing. Not much else I'm afraid. |
