“I know what I’ve done for music, but don’t call me a legend. Just call me Miles Davis.”

Almost Like A Song -- Ronnie Milsap Once in every life Someone comes along And you came to me It was almost like a song You were in my arms Right where you belong And we were so in love It was almost like a song January through December We had such a perfect year Then the flame became a dying ember All at once you weren't here Now my broken heart Cries for you each night And It's almost like a song But it’s much too sad to write Now my broken heart Cries for you each night And It's almost like a song But it’s much too sad to write It's too sad to write ~Theo~ :winky::listening::bouquet: |

Lost In The Fifties Tonight -- Ronnie Milsap Close your eyes baby Follow my hear-eart Call on the mem'rie-ie-ies Here in the dar-ark We'll let the magic Take us away-ay Back to the fee-eelin's We shared when they'd play In the still of the ni-i-i-i-ight Ho-old me darlin', hold me ti-i-ight Oh-oh-oh-oh... Shoo-doop, shoo-be do, shoo-doop, doo So real, so-o-o right Lost in the fifties tonight These precious hou-ours We know can't survi-ive But love's all that matter-ers While the past is ali-ive Now and for always Till time disappear-ears We'll hold each other Whenever we hear In the still of the ni-i-i-i-ight Ho-old me darlin', hold me ti-i-ight Say-ay-ay-ay... Shoo-doop, shoo-be do, shoo-doop, doo So real, so right Lost in the fifties tonight Oh-oh-oh-oh, Oh-oh-oh-oh... Shoo-doop, shoo-be do, shoo-doop, shoo-be do Shoo-doop, shoo-be do, shoo-doop, shoo-be do So-o-o ri-i-ight Say-ay-ay, Oh-oh... Shoo-doop, shoo-be do, shoo-doop, shoo-be do Shoo-doop, shoo-be do, shoo-doop, shoo-be do So-o real, so ri-i-ight... Shoo-doop, shoo-be do, shoo-doop, shoo-be do Shoo-doop, shoo-be do, shoo-doop, shoo-be do So-o real, so ri-i-ight... Shoo-doop, shoo-be do, shoo-doop, shoo-be do [fade] ~Theo~ :):listening::bouquet: |
Los Lonely Boys
This band is one of my faves...not real well known and rather cheap to see in concert...which I highly recommend!

Ships -- Barry Manilow We walked to the sea Just my father and me And the dogs played around on the sand Winter cold cut the air Hangin' still everywhere Dressed in gray, did he say Hold my hand I said, love's easier when it's far away We sat and watched a distant light We're two ships that pass in the night We both smile and we say it's alright We're still here It's just that we're out of sight Like those ships that pass in the night There's a boat on the line Where the sea meets the sky There's another that rides far behind And it seems you and I are like strangers A wide ways apart as we drift on through time He said, it's harder now, we're far away We only read you when you write We're two ships that pass in the night And we smile when we say it's alright We're still here It's just that we're out of sight Like those ships that pass in the night ~Theo~ :winky::listening::bouquet: |
