Being there for someone I love.........

bright_arrow 03-25-2015 01:33 AM

- Showed up at work with forty minutes until shift started, so I took out the trash in the break room that had been filled the day prior on my lunch
- Work stuff - uploading driver license information, answering e-mails, etc
- Washed clothes and bed linen once I got home from work at 8:30 p.m. (loveeee clean, fluffy, high count sheets!)
- Put away clean clothes.. was on a roll! Even sorted closet into work and casual clothing, despite having a casual dress code.
- Made my lunch for tomorrow, packed my bag, picked out my clothes and prepped lunch for smooth sailing!

Cailin 03-25-2015 10:46 AM

accomplished feeding mounds and mounds of kitties, and not being attacked by a ginormous bee (possibly crazy african bee)

i however didn't succeed in warding off the evils of the significant other. kisses had to be given.

Daktari 03-25-2015 10:59 AM

Woke up less tired but with the expected emotional 'hangover' from the weekend.

Cleaned bathroom

Opened a stock buying account for Teh Pops and bought the first tranche of shares he wanted.

Chased up some old investments for Teh Pops

Now about to go out to do some step work researching and reading

Kätzchen 03-25-2015 11:12 AM

Nailed down two of my deadlines, last night.

Today, will deliver a 'swift kick up side' the head of what has been a tough little challenge.

Then, take a break and enjoy some special time set aside with my 'sugar bear.'

Can hardly wait : )

cricket26 03-28-2015 11:12 AM

trimmed hedges, cleaned front flower bed (daffodils and tulips are blooming), saw my elderly neighbor take a spill on her bike (remind me not to get on a bike when i am 77) i escorted her home, laundry, played with the puppies in the sun....movie date later :)

Tierney 03-30-2015 05:30 PM

While I tried hard to do something worthwhile at work, it was just not to be today. However, when I got home my accomplishment was building a tv stand, hooking up my new flat screen for the living room. Then moving the other tv into the bedroom and getting that hooked up. All are up and operational.

Here is hoping tomorrow is better. :koolaid:

JDeere 03-30-2015 06:39 PM

Laundry, several errands, animal sitting and cooked dinner

Bèsame* 03-30-2015 09:41 PM

I tried to leave work early, but alas, I couldn't leave my report unfinished. I have tomorrow off, and I didn't want to play catch up on Wednesday. Looking forward to leaving early on Saturday, to spend Easter, on the beach. I think fishing was mentioned.

Trying to remember, I met the challenge of ONLY working 40 hours.

Kenna 03-30-2015 09:48 PM

This morning's rain delayed my plans a bit...as I didn't have a rain coat to mess around with while I finished setting up my camp wash tub/fish cleaning station and start my breakfast...

When the sun finally broke thru, I walked dogs, arranged supplies where I wanted them, took a LONG hot shower, had breakfast, trouble shot (as "shooted" isn't a word) some mechanical issues, then drove to town for a few things and to pick up my monthly supply of meds.

Today was my first day on a new program that helps uninsured, disabled individuals pay for meds....I HATE being on meds but am very thankful my care team are doing their best to improve my quality of life.
When I picked up the package with 4 'scripts, I had a sudden pleasurable feeling of accomplishment....because this time last year, I had given up hope of finding a good doctor, getting answers, and setting a care plan...and the thought of insurance or AFFORDABLE care made me have meltdowns as I knew I couldn't afford the new health care insurance. ...
So...since last fall (I think starting in September) I have gathered strength to fight the system (NO, I am not eligible for or on Medicaid)...and have set up an AMAZING care team.

Today's accomplishment was, without insurance or state assistance, I reduced my out of pocket expenses for my care down to $20...(total cost would have been $941.28...and sadly none of the RX are covered on Walmart's $4 plan)

This is a HUGE accomplishment for a person that had nearly lost or given up hope that things would get better.

clay 03-31-2015 07:11 AM

Cleaned all the bathrooms......washed and dried shower curtain....(what numbskull builds a house with NO exhaust fan in bathrooms in an area KNOWN for high humidity)......bleached shower stall......put burgers on to smoke....watched my evening shows....had snuggle time with honey!........drempt sweet dreams!

clay 03-31-2015 08:56 AM

Today I am doing laundry....bed linens and towels. I will finish cleaning the tiny cobwebs from screens around the deck and pool. I have to wipe smoker down with vinegar to clean brown smoke residue on window. A boi' s work is never done...lol

JDeere 03-31-2015 01:11 PM

Finished Laundry, went to an appointment, took care of animals and made lunch.

cricket26 04-03-2015 02:48 PM

coffee, made breakfast (chorizo and eggs), did the dishes, swept, took my daughter to work, called AAA, mowed the front yard, made dinner (chicken cheese enchiladas in the fridge for later), started the easter baskets (my daughter will finish them tonite), laundry, removed multi color easter nail polish and chose pastel purple for easter nails :)

Blaze 04-03-2015 05:16 PM

I accomplished many things. . This whole week. . But the best pay off? Was knowing. That she supports me. And understand that my odd hours, will help us to get ahead. She doesn't question my falling a sleep, or staying up late because of on call calls. She cheers me on when I'm tired, and calls when I'm having some problems. A woman as fabulous as her? Dang right I'm blessed, ive learned that many steps are walked, until you find your perfect puzzle piece... Thank you Darl'in! Your the best!

Tierney 04-04-2015 06:39 AM

General care of the feathered peeps.
Gave myself a manicure and pedicure.
Sorted through my nail polish and threw out the gluey ones.
Soaked in a bubble bath.
Sat in the sunshine reading my book, for HOURS.
When the last rays were chased off by the shade I mowed the lawns, watered the pots, baskets and yesterday's planting. Tidied up then swept the drive and paths.
Set my alarm for tomorrow morning. Sigh...

Feeling very excited...

For quite awhile I have been focusing on my education and taking care of my parents. Yesterday out of the blue I had an idea for starting a non-profit business which will utilize my skills and education. Today I have concretized a plan for making that happen. I think I may be on to something big. I need to do more research though. I am actually very excited because it will enable me to work from home and maybe take on board a few very close friends who have the skills needed to go along on this ride. That is what I have accomplished today. Yes it is in thoughts and pen and paper, but this has the potential to change my life entirely.

Chad 04-19-2015 04:42 PM

Accomplished today

I cooked food for the week.
Mowed and trimmed around the house.
Washed and dried the laundry.
Cleaned the house.

And made vacation plans with my sweetheart. :)

a wonderful spa pedi and massage! Eyebrows done! Going out to the beach for lunch! Yes. I am pampering myself! I deserve it!

GeorgiaMa'am 04-21-2015 08:06 PM

I got a lot done today! Gosh, it really pays off when I use my dayplanner.
  • I ran errands,
  • paid bills,
  • canceled a membership that has been draining $10 from my account monthly that I have just been too lazy to cancel,
  • did the grocery shopping,
  • did some laundry,
  • and followed up on some outstanding accounts receivable.
Yay me!

PaPa 04-21-2015 09:09 PM

I have been building on my previous post. I registered for my summer classes. Of course one of these will be a directed study to get this non-profit business launched. Hopefully, by Fall or the beginning of the year I will be on a new venture with my life. The professor I chose to work with has over 40 years in mental health services. I got more research done for my specific region to support that this type of service is needed. The professor is supposed to call me in the next few days. I also spoke with most of those friends who I thought of initially. There is one who still hasn't called me. I don't know what is up with that but hopefully he will be on board soon. I am really excited to be on this venture. Finally, work that I am passionate about doing.

cinnamongrrl 04-21-2015 09:22 PM

Started my day with yoga

Managed to get through the work day even though I wasn't feeling well.

Emptied my cabinets and cleaned them out really well so I could reorganize them.

Did my recycling.

Helped my neighbor wrangle his wayward dogs...I used treats and my poodle as bait..lol

Learned something new.

Tierney 04-23-2015 05:33 PM

A whole lot of work stuff.

Installed software on my laptop to sync my cell to said laptop. Was a success - now able to transfer files, pics, apps..etc..etc..

Worked a bit on my website.

Made dinner then did up the dishes.

Now, just relaxing in the peace and quiet that is the evening.

randrum 04-23-2015 06:59 PM

Converted and re-strung this cool guitar I got. It's a vintage sunburst ltd edition Epiphone acoustic. But it was right handed. I play lefty. So I replaced the bridge, saddle, and nut. The pickguard is upside down when I play. But I figure that'll just freak people out.

Chicklette 04-23-2015 07:14 PM

Worked a full day, finished an essay, packed for my fishing trip. OH and most importantly, had one glorious cup of coffee.

candy_coated_bitch 04-23-2015 07:20 PM

Ran errands, finished packing, changed the sheets on the bed, journalled a bit...

Mormegil 04-23-2015 07:56 PM

a older bmw i just bought and was so excited about blew a head gasket on the way home...now i have to go back to the place i bought it tomorrow and get my money back since i dont have funds to repair that and it makes.me worry if it damaged something else and whats next...

. the gentleman i bought it from had it for years and loved the car , he paid to have it towed and a mechanic to check it. and then offered to give me my money back. which was a real honest and standup thing to do since the deal was done and over. ...and then i must begin the hunt for another car....again
