I'm grateful to have a lovely dinner of spinach carbonara salad right here. It packs a protein punch and is gentle on the innards.

Don't make me :chasingzombie:

I'm grateful for the basic but required things, such as employment, shelter, food, clothing, and a support system.

I'm grateful that I won't have contact with one of my coworkers for the next 4 days. She's a witch; I hate 'er! (to be spoken with affect like in the 12 Pains of Christmas song)

I'm grateful for the quiet. My mind whirls about like crazy all of the time that it's nice when it's quiet, so I can focus better.

I am grateful I was able to find the words to stand up to someone who has been hateful to me and to Rene (and this person doesn't even know Rene) and I was able to do it without being hateful myself. <insert patting myself on the back smiley here>

I am grateful I have a good friend who overheard the hatefulness and was able to provide me with sufficient information to deal with it.

I am grateful for our little house that is currently warm from the fire in the fireplace.

I am grateful for the small monthly mortgage payment so Rene can continue to stay home and take care of me instead of finding a job to offset the three unpaid furlough days a month.

I am grateful for the long weekends three times a month.

I am grateful that tomorrow is a furlough Friday so I have the next three days off.

I am grateful for my honey, Rene, who has taught me to enjoy life. :love1:

*driving safely to and from school (in a tornado warning!)
*our home, the dogs, EZ
*that we made the choice to go meatless and it feels fucking amazing. now the idea of eating meat is repulsive--i was down to just chicken and some beef because i think that pigs/pork are so closely related to dogs... anyways, it's wonderful having 'guiltless' meals and i feel better, too.
*my busy school schedule--i can do it.
