I'm too old to waste any more time on things that are not important.

I'm too old to tolerate people who have no soul.

I'm too old to sweat the small stuff.

I'm too old to play in the sandbox, but would sure like to have a special someone to push me down in the sand and pull my braids because they like me <Grin>

mustangjeano 03-30-2012 01:13 AM

I'm too old to try and guess what someone else wants.

Usually, not much of anything even if I have to adapt my motions! But, lately, the damn cold and dampness of the Bay has my joints screaming.

Grace

too old not to enjoy the Sun in my face...too old not to run seeing the years of joy and challenges pass before my eyes and with each foot fall feeling gratitude for them

too old not to enjoy delicious meals with intelligent and lovely company...and much too old not to savor it all lingering kissing...scrumptious mind...and sensual warm embraces

too old not to continue working hard and enjoying both joys I live in the world

too old not to be thankful for this life time and too old not to know I'm not perfect and that grace is in the journey...too old not to remember all whom I have loved and been loved by...too old not to miss them.

"Too Old"

Play on a "Slip and Slide" - the ground is NOT as forgiving as it used to be - and back in the day I did not have breast - OUCH!!!

I'm too old for my job. It's the stairs and hills that kick my ass. I'm a Letter Carrier. After 25 years I'm lucky to still have knees that kind of work.

BrownEyedAngel 06-02-2012 05:20 PM

Now...

I'm too old to be micromanaged...
I'm too old to be required to ask for permission...
I'm too old to let other people chart my happiness...
I'm too old to tolerate being lied to...

BUT....

I'm too young to stop dreaming...
I'm too young to settle for mediocrity...
I'm too young to quit pushing myself.....
And I'm too young to fail to take advantage of every opportunity to be happy...

SugarFemme 06-03-2012 04:35 AM

This. Perfect. Nothing more needs to be said.

Oh man, do I hear this!!!! :|

I totally pity you, man, I really do. :twitch:

I'm too old for my job on many days, too, and I've had both of my knees replaced to show for it. Hoofing it around a hospital for 12 hours a day, pushing equipment, ventilators with patients attached to them in hospital beds to places like CT Scan and procedure rooms. I can't do stairs anymore and I don't run to Code Blue's (I walk briskly). I don't even get adrenaline rushes in the ER anymore, like I used to. I just take care of the patients.

Three more years.....three more years.....three more years......until I have my 20 in federal service.....then retirement. :hangloose:

WOOOOOOOOOOO SAHHHHHHHHHHHH....... :praying:

Great List! So worth repeating!

I'd like to add one more....I'm too old (read intolerant) of game playing...if you're a player, keep stepping.

Canela 06-06-2012 10:23 AM

Some days I feel "too old" to tolerate other people's issues...
Don't get me wrong, I want to, but there are days when my own issues take precedence and I can't help you before I help me.

It's not selfish, it's necessary.

AtLast 06-06-2012 11:39 AM

The only thing I really feel too old for is BS based upon gossip and underhanded narcissitic gain, Just don't have much patience anymore for drama and idiots.

This is not posted due to any recent events at all, or persons- just answering the thread question in general. I think we all get to an age in which we just don't suffer fools at all. Kind of a rite of passage.

I feel too old to care about what other people think or say about me.
