I NEED Bifocals for this thing. I don't know, I may return it and go back to the Droids??

Oh no! Just make everything bigger with the two finger slider method!

my smart phone screen is so touchy...as i do that thumb and finger thing to make the screen wider, if i over lap at all, i'm someplace I don't want to be.....and i have to wear my bifocals to type on it.....gosh darn awful at typing on it. You can always tell when i'm replying from the phone, more spelling errors than usual.....fat fingered!

However, for a person who doesn't like alot of techie things, I really like this phone and wonder now, how did i survive with just a normal phone?

ps. Hi Sassy

External drives cost peanuts nowadays. You can get a (well branded) terrabyte here for around £60 (That's under $100) but back up your favourite music to disc as well because hard-drives can fail too - I speak from experience sadly. I lost quite a number of irreplaceable photos (and music) when my hard-drive failed with my 365 project on it which means I've not be able to have my project book printed. :(

Signed the AllOut petition and put it on my fb and G+ walls...I know plenty of folks who will sign it.

I do know about the two fingers and making things bigger, Droids have that too.. However you can not make the screen bigger when texting or writing... :( :(

I'm going to give it till Monday and if I still don't like it. I will switch. The graphics from an iPhone to a Droid are night and day, Droid blows the doors off the iPhone.

The battery life on this thing blows. Yesterday I added 5 apps and sent out 9 text messages (no phone calls) and my battery was dying already. I had nothing running in the background other than to search for apps for about 45 minutes. So far I haven't had it for more than 24 hours and I've recharged it 3 times. Maybe I received a bad battery??

It must be your battery because I use my phone a lot and only have to charge it every two days.

Just par for the course as to what I've been going through with Verizon. I suppose with AT&T I got the dud battery. lol

To think that when I was a kid we had about 5 TV channels!

I remember those days! I remember having to manually change the channel, and I even remember black and white tvs (my folks had one in the early 70s). Gosh I am really dating myself here lol.

Can someone tell me how to down load "some" of my music to my iPhone from iTunes?

*Anya* 07-23-2011 02:40 PM

Sync your phone to your computer

Just open up ITunes on your computer and plug your phone into your computer. Non-technical description but it works! On IBooks they have a free iPhone manual that is easy to understand and tells you how to do things.

I hope this helps. There are way more tech-savvy people one the planet that may be better able to explain than I!

Not putting your iphone in sleep mode when you aren't using it will wear the battery down pretty fast. It will eventually put itself in sleep mode and you can change how long it takes to do so in your settings. You'll still get notifications and other reminders pushed and they will pop-up as received;however, you won't be able to see them afterward or any time what's on your screen until you hit the round button with the square on it at the bottom. To put your phone in sleep mode, click on the button on the top right of the phone.

You also might want to check your brightness settings

That's if you hold it down. If you just press it quickly (it will make a sound if you have sounds turned on) without holding it down it will put it in sleep mode.

Last night a friend told me I can check what programs are running and how to "turn them off" kinda. Press the round button twice and at the bottom come the programs. Hold one of the icons down and when they are shaking turn them off using the minus sign on each icon.
My question is, does putting the phone in sleep mode using the top button do the same thing or is other way better to conserve the battery?

hmmm. when I double-click on the home button when not in sleep mode it shows the last 4 apps I used, not apps that are running. When in sleep mode it double-clicking on the home button gives me access to ipod controls. I have an iphone 3.

Apple says that in iOS4 if you double-click the home button it lets you multitask.

Oh good grief! I really am trying to get the hang of this new technology!

Sometimes you just have to fiddle around with it to figure all the tips and tricks...it takes a while. :)
