I've become addicted to Kickstarter. I think I've spent way more money than I should on the site. But there's a lot of fun stuff.

Tonight's concoction:
coconut, a couple scoops of Greek yogurt, frozen strawberries, a few frozen blackberries, half a frozen banana, vanilla almond milk, dash of vanilla extract, and stevia. Mixed it up with a hand blender thingie and voila!

Kobi,

I would be terribly interested in your perspective concerning this t.v. show.

Thanks for sharing about your latest addiction,

Kätzchen

My latest addiction is a new found jar of "Barcelona's Nogada Walnut Sauce."

Here is what is listed for ingredients:

Water, tomatoes, raisins, apricots, sunflower seeds, onion, parsley, salt, lemon juice, garlic, dried chili pods, cinnamon, oregano, star anise and organic rose petals.

Notice not one mention of use of walnuts.

But a disclaimer directly below states that there could be nut products --- peanuts and/or nut products.

To me, it tastes like a Thai sauce.

I use it on pasta or ice cream.

I love it. : )

All things ginger!

For approximately 4 months, I have been mad for ginger.

Gin gins candies, spicy Ginger tea, Jin+Ja drink; ginger Ale even, and as much ginger as I can possibly sneak into everything I eat. I even have some ginger body lotion that I find irresistibly appealing for some odd reason.

I feel well, but it makes me wonder if my body is fighting something. At any rate I enjoy this medicine, so I'm not worried about getting into ginger rehab, lol.

Curry, too; but to a much lesser degree.

Ginger's good for digestive issues.

I have been focused on flavored fizzy water lately. Good stuff.

Bèsame* 06-25-2015 01:28 PM

Now isn't this interesting..

I too, have a thing for this new taste, ginger.
I've bought lots of diet ginger ale lately.
Have eaten that ginger spicy chewy candy.
Even, eaten the ginger strips in the sushi boxes lately. Hmmmmm

But, it's also Gelato, and Swiss cheese. Not together of course! Lol

Smiling 06-25-2015 03:43 PM

@Gemme & Besame,
I, too, love really crisp fizzy water! Can't get enough; but whereas the ginger thing is a relatively new phenomenon, the bubbles thing, at least for me, is not.

Besame - how do you feel about carbonated water? Because I'm theorizing that it has to do with the fact that we're all Gemini; therefore, exquisite and impeccable taste and discernment are simply one small part of the delightful packages that make up our collective amazing selves, lol.

in about 6 months, smiling will disappear for about 30 days ... when she returns, she will be posting about her life as a recovering ginger addict
;)

cinnamongrrl 06-25-2015 06:57 PM

Fresh tomatoes from the farm stand...sliced and sprinkled with sea salt and shredded basil...

Sometimes...when I'm feeling naughty...I also put some parmesan cheese on it...but don't tell...;)

cinnamongrrl 06-25-2015 06:59 PM

ohhh and I forgot...

Jalapenos...I can NOT get enough...I smell them wherever I go..I got a huge thing of pickled jalapenos at the D.G. the other day...and I'm eating them like candy...

I'm off to google what they could possibly possess that my body needs...

The bees are thriving! I just wish I had room to put in a garden. :cheesy:

I have concern for cinnamongrrl and her jalapeno fondness. I love them too but if I eat too many, my stomach gets killed for a couple of days. Be careful, grrrl!

Orema 06-28-2015 09:16 AM

cream cheese and pickle sandwiches

Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on a low-carb tortilla, add slices of dill pickles, salt and pepper to taste. It is delicious.

Those who aren't counting calories or carbs should try this on warm pita bread.

OMG I thought I was the only person who liked cream cheese & pickles!

I tried it when I was really young because I was curious after hearing people talk about pregnancy cravings including things like ice cream & pickles (and no, I wasn't pregnant). Except I misheard and thought it was cream cheese & pickles. So I decided to try it and loved it. LOL :giggle:

I seriously over did it the first day! My tummy wasn't happy but luckily I have a cast iron stomach most days and recovered quickly :)

Thanks for your concern!
