Last presidential election, I woke my daughter up the morning after with pancakes that spelled out "Obama won" . So she asked earlier in the week if I'd do that if he wins again, I said sure.
So, in the spirit of optimism, I've started the batter. We decided to make sweet potato pancakes. I was just mashing the sweet potatoes and we dubbed the bowl, the sweet orange bowl of optimism. Now if I could stop feeling nauseous I can think about maybe eating pancakes tomorrow. We decided that if we lose, we'll eat them anyway as we will survive pancakes. |
Looks like Romney will take North Carolina - 85% reporting and he's leading with 3%

I watched the election returns with my Mom last time. I had come out and my Mom had worked the phones for Prop 8 here in California. It was a bittersweet election in that Obama won and Prop 8 lost. My Mom is still here fighting even with some bad news health wise today. I hope she can see Obama win again! My daughter's homework tonight is to stay up and track the swing states. It is exciting to share this with her.

So the Senate stays Democratic. That's good.

CNN thinks Florida is going to end up for Obama, and that will be it for Romney. This is based on which counties are outstanding.

Tammy Baldwin D Wisconsin making massive history as first ever openly gay US senator.
Hell yeah, bitches! |
I just read that there are still people waiting in line to vote in Florida, and they have to let them vote if they were in line, so they are apparently not releasing all the numbers yet- which makes sense- but that seems to be part of the hold up.

173 Romney 167 Obama Current Electoral Votes with Obama currently winning MN.
Apparently if Florida is within 45000 votes there will be a recount. 87 precints reporting so far in FL. 23 precints still voting ! 300,000 votes still to count in Miami Dade, which is in high favor of Obama. These people are gonna be out until tomorrow morning. It's all coming down to this state >>> Florida |
Yeah and the last time that happened they stole the election! That cannot happen!
|
Just saw a great cartoon.."Hey, Akin: Women's bodies do have a great way of shutting things down...buh bye"
|
NBC says they think Virginia is still in play, that there might be as many as half a million votes still not counted in Arlington.
