Last presidential election, I woke my daughter up the morning after with pancakes that spelled out "Obama won" . So she asked earlier in the week if I'd do that if he wins again, I said sure.
So, in the spirit of optimism, I've started the batter. We decided to make sweet potato pancakes. I was just mashing the sweet potatoes and we dubbed the bowl, the sweet orange bowl of optimism.
Now if I could stop feeling nauseous I can think about maybe eating pancakes tomorrow.
We decided that if we lose, we'll eat them anyway as we will survive pancakes.

I watched the election returns with my Mom last time. I had come out and my Mom had worked the phones for Prop 8 here in California. It was a bittersweet election in that Obama won and Prop 8 lost. My Mom is still here fighting even with some bad news health wise today. I hope she can see Obama win again! My daughter's homework tonight is to stay up and track the swing states. It is exciting to share this with her.

So the Senate stays Democratic. That's good.

CNN thinks Florida is going to end up for Obama, and that will be it for Romney. This is based on which counties are outstanding.

Have you been keeping up? I noticed that voter suppression was mentioned again. You may owe yourself another shot. And then another cause I just said it.

I just read that there are still people waiting in line to vote in Florida, and they have to let them vote if they were in line, so they are apparently not releasing all the numbers yet- which makes sense- but that seems to be part of the hold up.
