what do you think is the most important issue this country faces right now?

I think all the important issues would be solved if everyone stopped thinking money and materialistic gains are more important than making the world better. So I would say greed is the root of all that is wrong, and therefore the biggest issue. Even equality is denied because someone is making more money as long as its unequal.

What would you do with a billion dollars?

I would seriously give the greatest portion away, people with money have problems too, they're just bigger problems. My families and favorite charities would benefit. I'd like to think I could do some good.

Have you ever quit a job purely because of dissatisfaction?

I would spend 250 million on a housing initiative and get architects suppliers and local governments to contribute, and build tens or hundreds of thousands of homes/homesteads/dwellings worldwide to be given away. Taxes to be paid from trust in perpetuity.
I would buy several blocks surrounding me for 20 million and offer free houses to friends and artists and musicians and actors and filmmakers and writers that I like.
10 million to pay off all the debt of relatives and friends and pay off their mortgages and several private gifts.
200 million to vaccinate against preventable childhood illnesses.
50 million to the American Visionary Art Museum.
250 million to build and fund a small American Folk Art and Craft museum.
50 million for an 8mm and Super8 film archive.
20 million to the library of congress film archive.
100 million for an agency to assist women and LGBT refugees.
The rest if there was any I would spend on a whim.
:)

Yes...but I had another job lined up before I quit...

If you could live anywhere...where would it be and why?

If you could live anywhere...where would it be and why?

Right where I am living now.
It is a quiet country town yet close to Philadelphia, Atlantic City and New York.
I always used to drive past the cottage I live in now and knew I would live there some day. It feels like I am truly at home here.

What was the last turning point in your life? How did it affect you?

girl_dee 11-02-2010 07:21 AM

My last turning point was very short time ago I came to Canada and realized this is home.

When was the last time you had an epiphany?

The day my wife died, I finally understood "We make plans and God laughs".

Have you ever stood up and defended anyone by placing your body between them and their attacker?

Yes, on more than one occasion. (And I would do it again in a second.)

Do you identify with an animal? Which one and why?

Blade 11-02-2010 08:08 PM

The alpha wolf
Because I'm intelligent and strong
I certainly have an alpha personality
I take care of my pack
I'll pee on ya leg in a heartbeat (territorial)
I'm social and I love to romp and play
But can be serious and get down to business
I could go on but you get the point

What animal would you least like to be, if you had to be an animal

Yeah, there's definitely alpha wolf in you.

The animal I'd least like to be would be a mink, a chinchilla or any other adorable little animal murdered for it's fur.

Have you ever betrayed a confidence just to score points with another person?

NO. Nobody likes a snitch.

If someone you could trust told you, you could become a millionaire in One year, But... to get the money, you had to become homeless for One year, take with you only two pairs of clothes, some personal items, and ten dollars, ask no friends or relatives for anything, you could not have your job, and had to figure out a way to survive (a homeless shelter, panhandling, abandoned car, or building etc). Would you do it?

I probably would not. I live too much in the moment now.

If you received a million dollars that you could not keep or give to family/friends, what would you do with it?

I would disperse it to charities that don't get a lot of funding.

If you could have the job of your dreams or the love of your life which would you choose?

Luckily I have both now, but I would choose the love of my life.

HELL NO!

Would you rather do dishes and laundry or mow the lawn and wash the car?

Andrew, Jr. 03-18-2011 03:26 PM

I would mow the lawn, and wash the car.

Q. If you could volunteer anywhere, where would you?

Ireland, I'm actually going there this summer.

What would you do for a Klondike Bar? :chocolate:

Get in the car, drive to the store...oh wait, get dressed, get out $20.oo, get in the car, drive to the store. Fill the cart, unwrap one on the way to the counter, get in the car, unwrap another one, then come home and get a bowlfull of them.

What you buy with it if you found $100.oo blowing down the street.
