Brilliant re Ireland ... if you have the opportunity, let me be a tour guide for a day in Belfast. I work in London but I'm a Belfast boy (born there and lived there for over 30 of my 35 years) and back there every few weeks. Most tourists / visitors from overseas do Dublin (over-rated city) and the west coast (beautiful scenery and great people) but ignore the harsher, northern part which has beauty, harshness and tears mixed together.

If you do intend to, or would like to, go north, let me know.

What you buy with it if you found $100.oo blowing down the street.

hmmm if I had to blow it probably a Kindle for the household.

If you could be in any profession what would you be?

Gráinne 03-20-2011 04:23 PM

I'm a teacher; and I love it :). But if we can't include our own jobs, then a librarian, history professor, or museum curator. Come to think of it, I might still be all those things ;).

What languages do you speak? Have you ever taken lessons or taught yourself a language just for fun?

I only speak English fluently. However, I took two years of German in high school and I still remember some of it now and then. What's funny is that I'll try to think in German but then it tries to come out in Spanish!

Q: Do you like karaoke? If so, have you ever been brave enough to do it?

LOve to watch, never been brave or drunk enough to do it.

What is a fear you have?

Gráinne 03-22-2011 10:22 AM

The fear I've had every day for 13 years: fear of doing something one day that starts my kids on the road to Jerry Springer-ville.

Where do you go when you need to be alone?

In my closet

Where do you go when you want to connect with nature?

Leigh 03-22-2011 03:17 PM

Usually to the park a few blocks from Me ~ trees and flowers are all over and its just a great place to go :-)

How would you spend a day in the mall if you had enough money to buy whatever you wanted from any store?

Gráinne 03-22-2011 04:31 PM

Assuming that said mall had any store to choose from, that's easy: a bookstore, a music store (both for CD's and sheet music), Lush or B&BW, and a kitchen gadget store. Then to a great restaurant in said mall (sometimes they do exist), to peruse my bookstore findings.

What is one song you could (or have) listened to again, and again?

What song can you not stand to hear one more time?

Anything by Taylor Swift-something about her that just rubs me the wrong way.

We all have things we wish we could take back or do over. If you had this chance, without affecting your life today, what would you take back or do over?

I have one Tattoo I would never have done.
Can we say laser?

What has been the happiest time period of your life so far and why?

The last year has been the happiest.

A special wee one is going to be ok, and so is everyone else.
I moved to Canada, settled into the happiest place I've ever been.
I for the first time, look completely forward to the rest of my life.

Same question next person.

FeminineAllure 06-09-2011 10:09 PM

I have to say this one is heading in that direction.
I am surrounded by love. Not of the romantic kind but spiritual kind.
I am accepted for who I am with no conditions.
My house is a home and i love being here.
I have more time again for me.
I will see where the present takes me.

Same question...

Nomad 07-01-2012 09:19 AM

the happiest time in my life is something weird so maybe it doesnt fit the specs of the question the way other answers might. it happened a few days ago when i was in the middle of a deep hurt about missin my dad and missin some really important people and it sort of broke into my head that i was gonna survive and everything was gonna be ok. i dont know if it qualifies as the "happiest" time of my entire life or not. sure is the happiest thing on the horizon. i'm feeling pretty positive about actually finally felling like i'm gonna make it and things will be fine eventually.

because it's on my mind i'll ask this: what face do you wish you could see right now, regardless of the response you might/might not get?

My grandmother. She finally has hearing aids so I'd like to see her and have a proper conversation (she was too stubborn before).

If you could go anywhere in the world, but you had to go on your own, no one else could come, how long would you take for this holiday of yours?

I'd take 3 weeks. I'd need at least that long to get in, settle, enjoy and get past the I miss my life part to really relax.

If for a day you couldn't tell a lie, things popped out all honest and unfiltered, who would you choose to spend the day with?

My friend Kim that passed away in 1997.

If you could change one thing about your appearance, what would it be?

My hair...

If you knew voting for a specific candidate this year in the elections would change many lives in a very positive way would you vote for them even if you personally disagreed with all other aspects of their campaign?
