Thanks again, Glynnise, for another wonderful get together! I had fun and it was really nice to reconnect with folks again.
Have a safe trip home, BFP account stealer! Kiss the Stalker puppy for me. Don't do anything else, though. I'm not that kind of skirt. |
We had to teach Durrrrrrrrr another way home; part of Highway 71 is closed so he couldn't go that way, and then they closed part of 290 which was route number two,,,so, he is learning route number three down 183 through Lockhart and Luling. This wind is just not helping with trying to fight the fires that are just scorching Texas right now.
On another note, thanks to all who came to our little gathering yesterday! What great fun we had as usual! Good food, good times, good people!! Stalker Puppy is tired after his walk with his cousins and is probably snoozing on the drive home. We have everyone's stuff here,,quite a variety of things, lol. It will all be safe and sound until folks come pick it up, lol. It was great to see everyone who came out for the afternoon and evening! Glynn |
Glynn & Denise, thank you so much for opening your home. We had a blast as usual!
I hope everyone's homes are safe, and others got home safely. :candle: |
thank you again Glynnise for another great wknd. I had a blast. Thank you again for taking care of me when my back was giving me problems.
I really liked the game sour apples to apples, can't wait to play that again. It was great seein everyone. I hope that everyone is doing alright, the drive home was very weird. smoke all around me until I got up to Houston. Driving down 183, the smoke was to my east, but once I got on I-10, it was to my north but since the winds was blowing from the north, that caused the smoke to head over I-10 and when i got around Bastrop ( 71 ) exit, the smoke was all over the interstate and made visibility about 5 miles. Holiday traffic didnt help out either, bumper to bumper and of course there was the typical driving around 65 MPH to 20 MPH within seconds. I seen several times people swerve to the median to avoid slamming into the person in front of them. Bufford T Justice was out and about BIG TIME. as well as his buddies. I didnt have to worry about them due to traffic until i got near Katy area. I set my cruise control and just putted along. Outside of Houston though, one of Bufford's buddies was sittin on the side and ut oh, here he comes. He was after the truck that just passed me a couple miles earlier and got him instead. whew. Stalker puppy slept alllll the way home. He woke up once when I stopped at the rest area and he did his business, went back to laying down and woke up once we got home and jumped to the couch and went back to sleep. Spendin time with his cousins always wears him out. and since one of his cousins really caught his attention this time as well as a skirt, he is just worn out. I am sure he'll sleep through the night oh well, I hope y'all are ok and just hollar if there is anything i can do for y'all |

Thank you, peeps, for a fabulous time! It's been a while since I've laughed so hard at Cat Holic Gift Stores.

Groupon.com has a great sale on for the Austin Duck Tours. You can buy two tickets for $26. I think I'm going to do it. Let me know if you do it and want to make it a group thing. Fun!

To those that really know me: I just killed a MASSIVE roach. I didn't scream. I cleaned it up. Into 2!!! Bags. Both tied. Glass of wine now? Maybe then I won't keep jumping at EVERY freaking shadow? sigh. I really hate those things.

My great niece has made her arrival! She's gorgeous (of course). All are well. Vir Sun, Aq Moon and Lib Rising. :) And she's a 3. LOL
I am utterly phobic of roaches. Well, I used to be. I'm apparently getting better. Side effects of my on-going fixher up project. |

Linus is in town..... We are going to gather at HaiKu for sushi. They do have non-sushi items. I suspect we will visit Amy’s afterwards. I know that this is rather late notice. I just got through chatting with Linus via email. Sunday 9/11 6pm HaiKu 9600 S I-35, #C600, Austin, TX78748 Linus is vegetarian which is why sushi came up. |

Hello Texans... I hope you'll pardon my interruption.
A couple of friends of mine who live in Bastrop went out today to leave dog, cat, and bird food for pets who have been separated from their owners. They're both committed to helping recover lost, scared, lonely animals. They plan to go out again this Saturday at 9 a.m. They also will bring shovels and a trailer and help people dig through their belongings, haul stuff away, whatever needs to be done... These are some fine people. If you would like to spend the morning with them doing that type of community service, let me know and I'll make the connection. Thinker :) |
