"Dumpster Fire"..............

slang A complete and utter disaster or a completely chaotic situation, likened to a fire in a dumpster, which quickly becomes uncontrollable. The phrase can be applied to both situations and people.

" To fire someone up".........

To motivate someone; to make someone enthusiastic.

'Go through fire and water".........

To face many challenges in the process of doing or accomplishing something.

"A ball of fire"...........

An ambitious and enthusiastic person.

"Heap coals of fire on one's head"..............

To make a special effort to induce feelings of guilt or remorse in another person.

This implies that a person can identify an unknown subject by observing that subject's habitual characteristics.

Indicating that any surface area is very very clean.

An common expression which indicates that an car, for example, comes with extra features that add toward convenience or is an luxury item.

This particular turn of phrase is *not* expressed nearly as often as it should be, but that is because it's kind of rare when it happens. Therefore: IF a person survives a potential life threatening situation, people generally believe the experience leaves them stronger.

Hence, saying that one can Bench press a Buick is often synonymous to overcoming traumatic life's issues by one's own ability to be 'strong'.
