You know speaking of coffee I made some French pressed goodness this afternoon and wow how good that is!! I don't think I could go back to the drip pot anymore...its like espresso only faster with a little hot milk you have a latte and poof there it is!! So yes I am converted to a French press now, can't wait until tomorrow to make it again!! Making pumpkin bread from the quick breads by Pillsbury according to JO's word I hope they are good too with some butter on a slice later on..
The screen door broke oh well its time to be fixed or get a new one, the joys of owning a home its always something I tell ya.. |

Good afternoon everyone :)
Sorry I missed a "good morning", but I was headed out to the airport by 6:30 a.m. to pick up the Rooster :cheer: We're home now, after catching up on the news of his visit, and....guess what?? ...I'm actually posting from the patio, next to the pool....yippee! We got the patio furniture assembled and set up (amidst some cussing) yesterday evening, and the wifi actually reaches out here too. :) Soooooo happy about that, because it means I could actually work from here on nice days too! Scoote is back at work, and I'm on my last day off. Tomorrow's going to be a bit of a scramble for me, I'm sure...one of those "hang on and keep paddling" days. Boys go back to school too (which you know they're thrilled about :giggle: ) Hope you're all having a great day whether you're soaking up a last day of vacation or already back at the grindstone. :gimmehug: |

Well I called the shop where the car is at and its ready 246.10 dollars ready so I will go up there and walk in this cold to get it as soon as I get the money in the account...I hope you are all staying warm and cozy where you are. wow the bagels sound great and the cream cheese too yum, could go for the second cuppa right about now. The day is going badly with the car, it may need transmission work now it is pulling in gear and riding rough!! Its always something, I don't really know what I even did to it for it to get this bad..it was just snow that I hit..anyway no where for me to go to with the car riding as bad as it is..will see tomorrow morning..

When I hit a pothole in my car, it cracked one of my motor mounts. It will feel like it is jerking to go into gear. You may have cracked or broke a motor mount.
Your mechanic should have checked that. They will tell you that it is the transmission, since it can cost almost $2,000 to fix it. My middle bro is a mechanic and he taught me about cars when I started driving. Mechanics, whether they are independent or at a dealership will take advantage if a woman. I had a mechanic for the Saturn dealership in Orlando tell me, I had no idea what I was talking about over a cylenoid switch that they had messed up in my transmission. for dinner I threw together some soup with chicken and pasta in it well egg noodles it was good and a salad..just waiting on the car its been like a week that I am without a car..hopefully it will be resolved tomorrow :)

Good MOrning folks and kitcheneers!! Still waiting on car to see what is wrong with it, the dealer takes forever to look at the car and get back to me on it. I bet they are debating whether to fix it under warranty so I don't have to pay for it ha ha..it better be fixed under warranty the damn car is only 3 years old...anyway its a boring day to say the least maybe I will sew to occupy my time, that is always something that I like to do. Would really like to crochet but no hooks I think they are in the car which is at the dealer..ugh what a day..have a good one..

Now on top of everything my eye is swollen and red and the car place never called I guess they are fixing it because they didn't say no and that would be the first thing they would have told me..tomorrow we are expecting some snow More snow UGH on that..its too cold and too snowy here for me..I hope everyone has had a good day so far better than mine..ok back to the grind and an early night for me tonight..:|

Woohoo that Scoote has the weekends off! It was delicious' I added dried onion, thyme, crushed red pepper and parsley in the hamburger while I was cooking it. I'm thinking of making chili for dinner tomorrow night!

:bringcoffee: I'll just freshen up the coffee... Soooo glad it's Friday! It's been a very busy week at work for both Scoote and I...and I'm working out a relaxing weekend for us. Thinking we may crash one of the Disney resort hotels (they won't kick us out anyway since we have annual passes)....just enjoy the pool, hot tub and water slides...nap on a chaise lounge in the sun...have a strawberry daiquiri....ahhhhhhhh.... :) Hope you all have a wonderful Friday! I made up egg noodles with diced chicken breast, corn, peas and green beans....mostly to use up leftovers since I didn't get to the grocery store today. That's definitely on the agenda for tomorrow because the cupboard is getting a little bare. I have a small batch of brownies in the oven. (2" square is 5 points....so I won't be going too crazy)...and am looking forward to a cup of tea and a (small) brownie. Scoote is still working, but has the whole weekend off....woot! :cheer: |
Brownies sound delicious! I am making myself a cup of hot cocoa to help me wind down. I ended up having a big plate of spaghetti and then went powerwalking.

Maybe another weekend soon. Sooooo....today will probably be a trip to the grocery store, the hardware store...and Rooster wants to go spend a christmas gift card at the Game Stop. Maybe some housework, since it hasn't had as much as normal due to the holidays.....and maybe we'll get to the beach or something as well. We'll see! Hope you all have a great day! :) |
