Need coffee fast! LOL I had to get my hair cut despite wanting to donate my hair at the BFP reunion in October. I just got too unmanagable at that length. It was very long, very curly and it was so painful combing it out after shampoo. It is now eight inches shorter; lying in soft curls about my shoulders and so much easier to care for. And I have bangs for the first time in many years.

Oh Hazelnut creamer in my coffee is perfect. I have to find the thread about the hair donation and break the bad news. :(

JustJo 01-19-2011 08:58 AM

Good morning everyone :)

:bringcoffee: Sounds like we could all use a big cup of coffee this morning! I've been scrambling around a bit with all the new projects I'm taking on, and I have tons of calls today and tomorrow...but I think it's all going to be manageable.

Hope Spanish is going well Zimmy. My son is taking it this year for the first time and is enjoying it. I think it's great to be bilingual...and wish I took Spanish instead of French in school. It would have been much more useful!

sylvie...kudos on the cabinet project! I know that's a ton of work, but doesn't it feel so good to get it done? I always love the feeling of things being neat, clean and orderly. Just makes me feel like my life is in better order. :)

Stay warm everyone (which sounds silly since it's in the 70s here) :giggle: and have a great day!

:lips: baby...don't work too hard...

sharonsuburbia 01-19-2011 09:07 AM

a cuppa jo is the perfect thing on a morning like this :) hazelnot creamer for minne.

I will c:chocolate:heck out chat for anyone who wants to!!!

Zimmeh 01-19-2011 10:11 AM

Good Morning Jo Jo,

Have fun today,

Zimmy

I have to get to the fabric store for some much needed fabric and notions to sew some tomorrow outside of that we have SNOW coming again,, I need to get out of the snow belt its too much for me and too time consuming!!

sylvie 01-19-2011 06:07 PM

wow, i almost said good morning!
it's been a LONG day..

it's actually good EVENING lol.. ♥
i just got home from work a bit ago, worked 5:30am to 7:30pm, ack, what a long dayyy.. i was able to leave early tonight though (7pm) so came home, showered, got in some cozy jammies and now i'm relaxingg!

now the countdown is on to how long before my nose touches the keyboard *grinz*

hope ya's all had a wonderful kinda day today!

Gail - you just reminded me i should go give blood soon, *marks that on my list of things to do* - what kinds of things do you sew?

Zimmy - so glad you are liking spanish class!

Jo, LOL @ spanish being much more useful than french, here it's the complete opposite. i wish spanish was more useful though, cuz i loved learning the bit that i did, it would prompt me to wanna learn more hehe..and i soo hear you, when things get cleaned and organized, i'm a VERY happy girl, LOL!

Kat, i had my hair cut a few months ago and donated mine, it was SOO long, i admit i miss my long hair so much, but its growing back quite fast, thank goodness.. my hair was so unmanageable at that point too, when i got my hair cut, i got it layered for the first time in my life.. think i'll continue keeping it layered now as it gets longer, cuz i loove my long hair, and will be much more manageable that way hehe. but YAY on the haircut, must feel soo good eh?

Sharon, hi! *waves*

sylvie 01-19-2011 06:08 PM

what a fookin' chatty gal i am , eh?
:| look at the length of that post, sheesh! *rolls eyes* lol

Zimmeh 01-19-2011 06:22 PM

Good Evening Sylvie,

I love getting my hair layered and I just had reddish-brown highlights added to cover the blonde. I have to start on the numbers and alphabet tonight. I'm going to practice in the mirror, so I'm going to look funny, lol. My American History professor has a monotone voice and I almost fell asleep in class.

Have a good night,

Zimmy

sylvie 01-19-2011 06:39 PM

oh Zimmy, glad you didn't fall asleep! hehe, and ohh fun on the alphabet, i remember doing that , i struggled with pronounciations at first because my french was coming out rather than spanish lol!! a lot of words resemble each other..

i had highlights once to my hair, ive never dyed my hair otherwise, but always wanted to.. i guess i just never get around to it, i should.. i'd love to add more color, heh... but the layers i LOVE, i'll definitely keep getting it layered now, makes it sooo much lighter, eh?

have fun practicing in the mirror Zimmy!! hehehe

JustJo 01-19-2011 06:47 PM

Evening all...and nice to see you again Kats :)..and welcome Sharon!

Busy day at work...and I'm pooped.

I dye my hair...no highlights or anything, just brown. I stopped about 6 months ago and thought I'd go with the salt & pepper look, but honestly it made me feel old and unattractive and a little bit depressed...so I'm back to coloring it, at least for now.

No layers for me...just an inverted bob, which gives me the illusion of hair since mine is very thin and fine. I used to have very long, straight hair....fine but lots of it...until I had my son. Half of it fell out, and never came back. I'm just hoping I don't eventually end up bald. :giggle:

Good morning all :)

:bringcoffee: Coffee is on, and this just looked yummy today...

http://img4.myrecipes.com/i/recipes/...-1654601-l.jpg

I'm off work today but getting everything ready for us to take off for the weekend. Housesitter is coming later on to meet the critters and get the key, and I'm packing, washing sheets to make a clean bed for her, and then off to get oil change and a car wash.

Just reserved our spaces in a ghost tour/paranormal investigation experience for Saturday night in St. Augustine (can't wait)....so that will be a super fun evening...we get to meet Zimmy in real life, and then go find some ghosts! :cheesy:

On a more serious note, does anyone have a way to reach our Jake outside of the site? He hasn't been on in awhile and I'm wondering if he's okay...

Have a great day everyone! :gimmehug:

Zimmeh 01-21-2011 11:33 AM

Woohoo Jo Jo!!! I am excited about meeting you two! That looks very yummy! I had to take Elijah to daycare this morning, Lisa had to take Caleb to the hospital lastnight. I'm headed to have lunch with my mom and then head home to finish reading the four chapters for nutrition and history classes.

I'm bringing you a tube of hand cream that I promised you!!!!

Have fun today!

JustJo 01-23-2011 07:09 AM

:bringcoffee: Good morning everyone! :)

We got to meet Zimmy! :cheer:  :cheer:

The trip to St. Augustine has been interesting....the town is so cool...I'd love to be able to explore it more leisurely. I particularly like the old fort....love historical sites and learning new things. We also did the Pirate Museum and Ripleys....went for a paranormal hunt last night but it was not what we had hoped. It was very cold (low of 31), and no one came prepared for that...add in too much earlier tension, a guide that spoke so softly I couldn't hear, drunks in the group who wanted to be loud and stupid.....yea....waste of money and time. Oh well.

Once again, I'm up hours before the others....bored out of my mind.

Today we'll head out to the lighthouse and then (the real purpose of this whole trip) to my aunt's birthday party and seeing 60 or 70 members of my father's family...most of whom I haven't seen in more than a dozen years.

Hope you all have a great day! I'm about to get dressed, abandon the sleepers and walk over to Denny's for breakfast and a cup of coffee. :)

sylvie 01-23-2011 08:27 AM

Awhhh yaaaaaaay on ya's meeting!!! how awesome!! :awww:

Good Morning everyone -
Just got home from work, and i go back in 2 1/2 hours until this evening..
my life screams excitement, doesn't it? *grinz*

But, tomorrow & Tuesday i am OFF.. YAAAY!

Jo sounds like you are having an awesome time, woohooo!
have a great time at the party today =)

Zimmeh 01-23-2011 09:54 AM

Good Morning Jo Jo,

I had a blast meeting you, Scoote and the boys. I cannot believe I snorted when I was laughing at you all, hehe....When are you going to Orlando again? I cannot wait to hang out with you all again...Maybe go to Animal Kingdom or Epcot? I would love to do Mission Space again at Epcot. One day, you should check out the Ponce de Leon lighthouse in Ponce Inlet, FL. It is located near Daytona Beach Shores!

Have fun today and have a safe trip home!!!

JustJo 01-26-2011 11:08 AM

Good morning everyone :)

:bringcoffee: Putting the coffee pot on, and dusting out the kitchen before I start making the french toast...

http://dishingup.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/f2.jpg

It's been a crazy few days for sure.

We had the fun of meeting Zimmy...adventured around St. Augustine (kind of a mixed bag but lots there to see)...went to see part of my family that I haven't seen in years and years...and came home to find that two of our kittys were missing. I managed to find one, but the other (my son's cat) is still gone.

Scoote and the Prince posted flyers I made everywhere, and we've got neighbors on the lookout, Animal Control has him on the "lost" list, and we'll be keeping an eye on the animal shelters....but so far no luck at all.

Work is being interesting too...turns out that the colleague I'm taking over for hasn't been nearly as productive as I assumed he was (and yes, I still like him....but I'm irritated). I now inherit his projects....with not nearly enough done and close deadlines. Ouch.

Today I literally have conference calls from 11 to 12, and then solid from 1 to 6. Insanity. :seeingstars:

Hope you all have a great day....and I'll be on later if my brain is still working!

Zimmeh 01-26-2011 11:30 AM

Good Afternoon Jo Jo,

Hope you find your baby! Rooster is going to be upset if the baby doesnt come back. I had a blast meeting you and Scoote, and I am looking forward to having dinner again! Maybe, we all can go shell hunting on Flagler Beach?

Good luck on your conference calls, I am trying to read two chapters of my history textbook before class today...:eatinghersheybar::wine:

Hugs to you and the family,

Zimmy

sylvie 01-27-2011 11:18 AM

good morning... (errr, afternoon here) heh..

awwh Jo i hope ya's find the kitty soon.. our cat Gibson is so scared of the outside he wont even go near the door, i'm thankful for that actually.. i remember having a kitty when i was younger, and he'd take off for a week at a time when he was in heat, we lived in the country and the cat was an outside lover, always travelled lol.. but one time he didn't come home at all, *sniffle* i was so heartbroken over that, heck i still am.. *fingers crossed you find the kitty very soon*

i'm on split shift today..
go back at 4pm, and it's snowing like mad out there today, accumulating pretty fast so not sure how much we'll get.. we're expecting another snowstorm in a couple days again, too apparently.. that makes me oh so happy !
:| *not*

Have a wonderful Thursday everyone!! xo!

Zimmeh 01-28-2011 07:05 AM

Good Morning Everyone,

Hope you all had a wonderful week! Today is Friday!!! Let's party for the whole weekend....

I am thinking it's a Cheerios kind of morning, with fresh fruit, whole grain, whole wheat toast, orange juice, coffee, tea and soda for Scoote!

Have fun today, I'm off to finish homework that I didn't get finished and study for my nutrition exam which is this coming week...

Zimmy

JustJo 01-28-2011 09:52 AM

The trip to St. Augustine has been interesting....the town is so cool...I'd love to be able to explore it more leisurely. I particularly like the old fort....love historical sites and learning new things. We also did the Pirate Museum and Ripleys....went for a paranormal hunt last night but it was not what we had hoped. It was very cold (low of 31), and no one came prepared for that...add in too much earlier tension, a guide that spoke so softly I couldn't hear, drunks in the group who wanted to be loud and stupid.....yea....waste of money and time. Oh well.

Sorry to hear the ghostie tour was a dud. I was hoping for a good scare story!! better luck next time ??!! Drunks and ghosts... oh do I have a story for that one!! :canadian:

Hope everyone is having a great day!!

Good evening all, and welcome Foxy and wimsicle :)

:bringcoffee: I'm putting on a pot of decaf and thinking a Bailey's coffee sounds wonderful tonight.

There's chicken and rice in the oven, almost done...in fact I need to go check it in a minute.

Scoote's still at work, but called me a bit ago with some really good news (that I'll let her share :) ).

Sooooo glad it's Friday...I'm ready for the weekend! Anyone have any fun plans?
