A metal table to use as a stand for the grooming tub
A wooden bench to put at the prayer garden
Scalloped brick boarder 30 of them, to use at the prayer garden
A Viceroy sign
A wire pet taxi
2 cast iron shelving brackets to mount on a door on the wall behind the chopping block
LOL 2 cast iron steer heads, I think they are actually drawer pulls but I am going to use them to hang my keys on. They are small about the size of a silver dollar

All for just 88 bucks.

Bèsame* 05-16-2015 06:20 PM

Flowers for my mom .

Smiling 05-16-2015 06:29 PM

I treated myself to a zafu and zabuton for my meditation area (that I created by very cleverly rearranging the living room). Until now, I've been sitting on my couch or ottoman because this house has hardwood floors - ouchie! - which hurts no matter how many pillows and blankets I use (even though I have plenty of padding back there, lol)!

I also got a candelabra for my hearth which is going to look good and create a beautiful ambience.

Those were kind of my birthday treats to myself, but I also need a bookshelf which I will probably go ahead and buy one in the next week or so because I'm sick of looking at boxes of books piled in my living room. It completely ruins the aesthetic.

Gemme 05-16-2015 07:19 PM

Lots. Tons of crafty goodness and groceries. Oh and two shelving units.

C0LLETTE 05-16-2015 09:42 PM

I bought 2 lightweight folding camp chairs in case I,m ever somewhere I want to sit with a friend.

randrum 05-16-2015 10:57 PM

Practical things, like groceries.

Then fun things, like comic books.

I came to the realization today that I buy more comic books now than I did as a kid. Probably because I can actually afford them now.

Bèsame* 05-17-2015 04:24 PM

Practical things..lol..groceries

Our first trip to the grocery store. I made a list. As we got there, I say, so how do you like to shop. "Cold stuff last" ok. We both agreed to starting in produce. He went to get the cart and said, you lead and I'll follow like a puppy dog . Lol

Mid way thru the store, I turn the cart and lost him. Few min later, coming down the aisle, where three huge racks of ribs heading to the cart!

Um, checking the list...nope not on it..lol lol

Gemme 05-17-2015 04:29 PM

Groceries was yesterday. Today was NOT about practical. It was about wants.

I wanted pretty, sparkly nails so I got them done.

I wanted some more crafty tidbits, so I got some.

I wanted to put gas in my car, so I did that.

Okay, that's practical.

One out of three is all you're getting from me today.

Isn't that the truth randrum, IF only they were still the same price we paid as kids!

Bag of radishes.
Banana hook.
Camouflage netting.

1. This cardigan (for my smaller sized black pants)
2. This skirt
3. These hose

This is probably the last time I'll shop at Lane Bryant. I bought these things online, but I'm gonna miss going to my local store. The sales women are very cool at the store I go to—they're young chicks, but they know how to hook up this old girl.

Anyway, these are my purchases for today.

Bèsame* 05-20-2015 10:58 PM

Envelopes...not that exciting, huh?

Jesse 05-21-2015 12:29 AM

Yes, if you are an Amazon Prime member, otherwise I think it's around $9 shipping. I love the pans even though I did re-season them.

Well, this post is going to seem slightly anticlimactic after the previous one....

:congrats: to RNguy & LaneyDoll BTW - but Gemme and Daniela will both be very relieved to know that I finally remembered to get silverware yesterday and I even bought a mixing bowl, lol. :tease:

I bought some Chilton County peaches, a cantaloupe, and some hummingbird nectar. We've seen several hummingbirds trying the feeder, and I figure they are probably sick of being left high and dry. :)

A new tablet! I cannot wait for it to get here to try it out! I am checking all sorts of options for my new business. I will have to buy 100 tablets, laptops, or desktop computers so I really need to find an economical option....once it arrives I will give it a spin and see what I think!
