Spring Cleaning. I'll do a room a day (or as long as it will take). Today was the bathroom. Cleaned the shower top to bottom. Even pulled out the teak cleaner and scrubbed the seat. Will oil it later today. The bathroom was easy since everything is freshly painted.

Moving light-weight items out of the way for the painter and his son who are here to fix some separations I have going on. The tape that helps connect the ceiling to the wall is coming apart in one area. It's not unusual for this to happen by the lake. It's windy here and the homes move. I used to get the same conditions on the west coast with the Santa Ana winds. They'll fix that today.

Tomorrow I'll tackle the bedroom, I guess. Spring cleaning will be my exercise till the house is spring-time clean.

Thanking my lucky stars to have a little home to spring clean and healthy enough to do it.

- Dr. appointment; thankfully it's a phone appointment.

- Make a hair appointment.

- Wait (and wait and wait) for the WalMart grocery delivery, then put groceries away.

- Find two spring shirts I lost that I really like and need.

- Text a friend.

- Place an Amazon order.

I have a pretty packed day at work with back to back meetings. Then I'm meeting movers to get the last of my things out of storage to bring to my house and will begin putting things in order here. I took tomorrow off of work so I don't feel like I have to get it all done tonight. But I'm hosting company on Sunday so... gotta get at it!

Not such a busy Friday ahead. Again, I hope I can get some sleep before Wal-Mart comes knocking on my door unannounced..

- Make a hair appointment. (Didn't get to it yesterday.)

- I waited and waited and waited for the WalMart grocery delivery, and they never showed up. At 11 pm I gave up and turned off the outside lights and went upstairs to bed. They are supposed to come tomorrow, but now they don't have an appointment time. So I just have to wait some more. Then put groceries away.

- Find two spring shirts I lost that I really like and need. (Didn't get a round tuit.)

- Place another Amazon order.

- Deep clean the bathroom. (Yuck!)

Fill a gazillion Easter eggs for my nephews to hunt down tomorrow. (The pre-teen has assured me he is not too grown for egg hunting and that makes me so very happy)

– Go to drag show for Pride weekend, maybe

We have an open house today at the boat house to introduce people to rowing and hopefully recruit some new team members. I'll be there this morning/early afternoon. Then I'm making dinner for my parents. We'll have dinner and play cards for a bit.

I was up wicked early so I'm almost done cooking the dinner already before leaving for the boat house. That will leave me some time this afternoon to finish mowing the lawn and... figure out how to replace the string on my weed wacker... I know I'll figure it out but... where's that rent-a-butch when you need it???

I've needed a rent-a-butch a lot lately! Some things I figured out on my own but replacing the string on a weed whacker was not one of them. I've never been able to get it to feed right. Good luck to you, I'm sure you'll get it.

Today I've got to put in a ring on my shower curtain. I was one short when the carpenter guys were here, so I had to order a whole new pack just to get one more ring. A minor annoyance, except I'm not very tall and I don't feel secure standing on something to do that.

I've got to find the envelope with my car tag renewal in it. It was misplaced during the construction.

I need to move stuff back into my bathroom and bedroom that was stored during the construction and Spring cleaning. I want to try to throw some stuff out, or donate it.

I'll make dinner, but I'm not sure what yet.

Tomorrow/later this morning, Brittany has a spa day scheduled, so I will be dropping her off early to be groomed. While she's there, I have a number of errands to run - or I might just come back home and take a nap. No! I will not take a nap. I have blocked out tomorrow morning for errands!

My foster dog was adopted yesterday so I've got some catching up to do at my house. She was attached at the hip and quite anxious so I wasn't able to do a lot of my normal.

Before work I'm going to start pulling out my camping gear for a trip this weekend.

Then, there's work.

Then a grocery run and mowing the lawn.

Then probably some puttering around the house. I vacuumed and cleaned yesterday but that Husky hair keeps reproducing.

- My dentist and I have been playing phone tag. This morning I'm pretty sure I answered the phone saying something like, "Yaw . . . gobbledy-blah-blah nyahhhhhhhh," while I struggled to get my CPAP off. He hung up. I've got to get up early and try again tomorrow.

- I've got to call the hospital for a quote on my knee surgery.

- More paperwork. I've let it build up out of control.

- Put groceries away.

– Appt at the salon for mani/pedi/wax
– Make some body butter, maybe
– Reorganizing my office, at least get started

I just got back from a wonderful 3 day camping trip so I'm catching up on putting all of the things away. We had a massive thunder/lightening/rain storm on Sunday morning so I had to pack everything wet and then set up again at home to dry.

We're in a heat wave too with a high of 106 today! Crew was cancelled for tonight, thankfully. I'm technically off work today but have been doing a little work with our maintenance team to make sure they have air conditioners getting put in for cooling stations. As a residential facility that does not have air conditioning, days like this are scary. I'm glad we have some bigger rooms that we can put window units in for the residents to cool off in.

Later I plan to pick up a book and a cold bottle of water and read in front of my air conditioner.

Staying inside as much as possible. Have to clean the kitchen and straighten out the pantry; I can't find anything with it the way it is now. Need to find some boxes and wrap up some packages to send by UPS Wednesday.

This morning will be a grocery run and then packing the car.

My adult child and I are taking my nephew camping this weekend. Three days and two nights camping, hiking, and climbing a mountain or two.

He's so excited and it's really sweet. I'm excited too.

My kiddo and nephew share a birthday so this is their birthday trip. Kiddo will be 26 next month and Nephew will be 13.

Bèsame*, you were busy!

My day was busy with work but post work I had committed to working on a ring box. My kiddo's partner is preparing to propose and asked if I would make a ring box for them.

It's a round wooden box that I stained ebony with a pewter tree of life pendent affixed to the top. The tree of life is two trees that have grown together and there is a full moon showing between the branches. I have a little more to finish on it and it will be ready for whatever comes next. I think it looks really nice. I sent a picture to kiddo's partner and they are very happy with it.
