Drove to the credit union to make my car payment (I refuse to set up an online account in addition to the two I already have with them just to make a car payment once a month).

Shopped at Walgreens for a lot more stuff than I intended.

Laundry and other housework.

Procrastinating on doing my homework and getting more anxious by the minute because it's due tomorrow night and I have dinner plans tonight, and I'm running a poker tournament tomorrow. Why, oh why, do I do this to myself?!?

FireSignFemme 04-23-2016 04:36 PM

-Taking advantage of break in weather did some batch cooking. Made Shepherd’s Pie, spaghetti with meat sauce, hamburger gravy and mashed potatoes to use up sale ground beef and last of potatoes neighbor gifted me.

- Picked up the apartment, did dishes, folded clothes.

- Whittled Amazon list down from pie in the sky to a more realistic, budget friendly shopping cart.

- Making blueberry muffins right now to take to church tomorrow, this of course assuming I don’t burn them.

Went to work to put on a fashion show that has been in the works. All things went as smooth as planned.

randrum 04-23-2016 06:59 PM

Absolutely nothing. And I had things I needed to do...

*Anya* 04-23-2016 07:12 PM

It was a beautiful, beautiful day today. Sun was shining and it was 72 degrees.

We drove to the Carlsbad outlets and I got some Merrell Shoes for $35 and 3 Lacoste T-shirts for 60% off.

We walked a lot.

The GF got 3 more golf shirts (she has about 30) but since she retired, her daily uniform is a polo shirt and shorts.

It has been a great day so far!

~SweetCheeks~ 04-23-2016 07:44 PM

Unpacked and organized our closet, went grocery shopping and bought some organization stuff for the house. Went to lunch with my honey. Then came home and did laundry.

clay 04-23-2016 09:01 PM

Honey & I spent 2 hrs. in the pool. I was exercising in the water...felt great. That is 4 of last 6 days I was able to do that!!!

We went on an impromptu date...found a Mexican restaurant....was it ever good.

I had a quarter of a shredded chicken taco salad...

Then we drove out to explore a new little place by the beach...watched a gorgeous sunset...

I love those unplanned events. We spent the whole day ....enjoying our quality time & quietness..we have been running since we moved....

Blade 04-24-2016 07:08 PM

Made chicken salad
Fed cat and dog
Cleaned my room and threw out a bunch of stuff

cinnamongrrl 04-24-2016 08:37 PM

Did dishes and cleaned the stove

Cleaned all the counters

Vacuumed the entire house

Took in the dried wash and folded it

Bathed my poodle

Went for a nice drive and hike on the parkway

Did some reading...

It was a good day :)

That was 24 miles last week, not 21 :) and I did the same again this weekend for a total of 48 miles. I've clocked in more miles the last two weekends (on 1-15) than I have in the last 4 months on 78. Was a little nervous on 15 yesterday but nothing like driving on 78 :).

Whatever the case, I'll keep tryiing.

Jesse 04-28-2016 09:14 AM

So far I've cleaned the bathroom, washed & dried a load of laundry, did the grocery shopping, stripped the bed and got the bedding started washing. Oh, I also did three lessons in my Spanish studies and fixed lunch for myself. Now I get to play for a few! ;)

cinnamongrrl 04-28-2016 09:25 AM

So far..

I managed to get myself out of a funk

Made coffee and breakfast

Did dishes

Cleaned the stove and counters

Fed and watered the critters

Vacuumed the kitchen and mopped

Vacuumed the whole rest of the house

Mopped the entry and bathroom. In that order.

Got together a load of wash to take to the laundromat...which..I apparently have not been spelling correctly in my entire life...

Dug through my spring/summer clothes for something to wear today. Its summer now apparently

Gemme 04-28-2016 10:33 AM

Not much, officially. I've got the second of two loads of laundry in the dryer now and the bed is awaiting that comforter when it comes out. The first load was bed sheets and towels and I've put the towels away and put the sheets back on the bed. I've eaten breakfast and lunch and checked one of my emails.

The bulk of my morning has been spent working on crafts so now my fingers are stained because the sprays I bought that worked fine at first are now leaking like a sieve. I've got blue, red and purple blotches on my fingers that isn't scrubbing off. Ooops.

While I was crafting, I watched several of my DVR'd shows and am caught up on Rosewood and Lucifer, Steve Harvey and Ink Master.

Productivity is relative.

cinnamongrrl 04-28-2016 12:57 PM

Went to the bank and made my car payment

Did a load of wash..including sheets for my kids imminent arrival..

Hung out said wash to dry at home

Made an awesome dinner for the furkids and myself

Did dishes and cleaned the sink

Cleaned the counter and cutting board since I made chicken

Took out the trash

Contemplated life while listening to blue jays bickering in the woods..

C0LLETTE 04-28-2016 01:07 PM

I went to court to show support for friends who run a shop that supports and feeds homeless people against a greasy greedy landlord who is making demands of them, that they cannot possibly meet, so he can turn the venue into tiny overpriced rental units.

Gayandgray 04-30-2016 04:01 PM

I worked at the kennel this morning, came home and fed and medicated spouse and dogs, helped spouse get her shower, washed the car, planted some elephant ear bulbs, cooked beans and cornbread, cleaned up house a bit, played with my dogs in the backyard, and now just hanging out.:hangloose:

cinnamongrrl 04-30-2016 05:35 PM

I felt it was safe to switch out winter clothes for summer so I did that.

I also thinned the herd a bit and tossed stuff I know I won't wear.

Put wash away while I was at it

Cleaned my car in order to find my lost phone. And stopped as soon as I did. Sigh. That's the ONE thing I would pay someone to do for me.

Took an epic hike with the dogs. Omg the views are amazing. I love this life!

Gemme 04-30-2016 06:41 PM

I worked all day, ran the dishwasher, made and ate dinner, put together a craft cart, recycled the packaging and am catching up on some DVRed shows while playing here online.

bright_arrow 05-06-2016 08:54 AM

I got up to my alarm the first time on 3 hours of sleep (it's been a long time since I've stayed up that late, AND got up the first time to my alarm)

Got out of the house on time, all make up on (normally finish applying while BF drives to train station but he's home sick)

I took out the pizza boxes from last night's dinner

So far I haven't slept through my commute into work :goodluck:

Now I have to go rifle through some 600+ accounts at work. :vigil:

RockOn 05-06-2016 02:54 PM

Sat through a lengthy team meeting all morning and managed not to fall asleep or become obnoxious by picking at my neighbors on either side of me ... the not picking on people on either side of me was the hardest and I was soooooo bored!!!

bright_arrow 05-07-2016 03:26 PM

So far I've:

Taken out recyclables
Cleaned out the fridge
Unloaded, loaded and ran the dishwasher
Washed remaining dishes by hand
Scrubbed countertops and stove
Swept and mopped kitchen
Boiled eggs for egg salad/deviled eggs this week
Baked a chocolate cake for Logicaly's sister's birthday
Gathered trash from both bathrooms
Tidied said bathrooms
Packed lunches for Monday

About to do the litter box, run out trash, vacuum the living room and then shower/put laundry away

Jesse 05-07-2016 04:04 PM

A buttload of grocery shopping, plus a trip to the local butcher.

I made a liter of my hot oil for making salve with, got it started anyway, it takes a while to brew.

Cleaned the bathroom.

Doing laundry now, so I don't get stuck with it tomorrow.

Would have rather gone ->:fishing:

bright_arrow 05-14-2016 02:03 PM

Took my morning meds and tested my glucose - 312
Unloaded and loaded the dishwasher
Swept the kitchen
Vacuumed the living room x4
Changed the litter box and mopped the floor
Put flea treatment on the cats
Shredded chicken I cooked last night
Assembled chicken enchilada casserole for dinner
Put away two loads of laundry
Re-tested glucose as my new med can drop me, yup - 200

Next I am going to shower, grab some lunch, and start meal planning again for our grocery shopping this weekend.

Blade 05-14-2016 09:27 PM

Bought groceries, that wore me out

Hours later was able to walk down to the pasture with the aid of a walker, but I made it down and back

Guess that is all of my accomplishments today.

ONE DAY AY A TIME

cinnamongrrl 06-05-2016 06:23 PM

Made myself sleep in til 730

Got up and did dishes while the coffee steeped

Went for a nice hike

Came home and took my kid to work and the other to the store

Remembered to buy dog food

Also got my scrub top for clinical

Came home and did lunch dishes and cleaned the counters

Vacuumed the kitchen and living room

Mopped the kitchen floor

Bathed the dogs

Ironed scrubs for the week

Cleaned the bathroom

Now I need to clean ME lol

stargazingboi 06-09-2016 01:04 PM

I started to purge stuff. When through paper work and got rid of the trash, then separated by category. When through my closet and through away stained/damaged items and started a bag for donation.

cinnamongrrl 06-09-2016 01:42 PM

I became CPR certified. My second step towards nursing school..

Gayandgray 06-09-2016 06:56 PM

Ran errands with my spouse to get her out of the house since she is really depressed, poured her meds for the week, cleaned house, couple loads of laundry and hung out on the clothesline, cut grass, made supper, did dishes, sat out on the deck and chilled with iced tea.

Jesse 06-09-2016 08:20 PM

Thanks for the reminder...I have laundry in the washer that I put in 2 hours ago!

Venus007 06-11-2016 09:43 AM

I confess, I am a work-a-holic
I checked my email this morning, did 30 minutes of work and now, my friends, I am leaving the house for an overnight and the lap top is NOT coming with me
I am not working this weekend.

Bèsame* 06-11-2016 10:25 AM

So far today...

coffee and oatmeal. I have to work in a couple of hours...so I'm being accomplished in relaxing:)

Chad 06-11-2016 11:12 AM

Accomplished

I mowed about 4 acres. I need to weedeat but it is too hot now. The rest of the day I will clean houes, cook, and do laundry.

Tonight post, text, and chat with friends and family.

Gayandgray 06-11-2016 07:35 PM

I worked at the kennel until noon, came home and helped my spouse with her shower, cooked, did yard work, laundry, played with my dogs, sat out on the deck.

*Anya* 06-18-2016 04:42 PM

After a couple of lazy hours this morning, I did the following:

Dropped off a prescription
Went to Home Depot, got a new hose and a/c filter
Went to TJ Maxx to return a pair of shorts that I had ordered online but they sent me a pair 4 sizes larger than I wear-don't know how they did that but someone may have gotten a pair 4 sizes too small for them. It took 30 minutes in line to get to a person that did not do returns and waited another 10 minutes for the manager...
Went to grocery store, did the shopping
Back to pharmacy to get my medication
Vacuumed the house
Going to take a shower now. It's hot and I am tired.
Need to get my filthy car washed but that will have to wait.

stargazingboi 06-18-2016 05:53 PM

worked outside

found a nest on the ground..one baby bird out of three was still a live. so, I picked it up with a towel, grabbed a basket and filled it with soft greenery and the rest of what I could find of the nest, placed the bird inside and hung the basket in the tree. That was this afternoon...checked on it and it was still alive. I'm just hoping one of the babies parents finds it and feeds it. It's got spirit..would like to see it continue.

Is the deal where the parents won't come back if a human was around their baby true? I think it depends on the bird? If so, you might want to take it to a bird sanctuary if you are lucky enough to have one near you.

From what we found online was to put it in a basket and hang it. I have been watching and birds have been around the tree and the basket is in. So, I don't know. I didn't touch it with my hands...so, I'm hoping the guidance found online is trust worthy.

It can be true but it depends on how young the bird is. I think the younger the bird, the more likely it will be accepted back into the family. Someone told me something about how fluffy they are and if they are still fuzzy, they have a better chance.

Today, I accomplished feeding my soul. I satisfied the obnoxious 12 year old boy inside of me as well as the happy go lucky wants-everything-to-work-out young girl. Plus, I got paid to play hooky at work. That's an accomplishment I don't get to pull off often.

Sounds like you made a good decision based on the information you had. Seeing the other birds around is a good sign. :)
