That sounds yummy and healthy...although I have to confess that Scoote and I started the day at Perkins for breakfast. It was yummy, but not that healthy I'm sure!

We've had a busy weekend...doing some yard work yesterday, then today doing fun stuff...breakfast out, then the flea market (where she got me a beautiful antique sterling brooch and some orchids), then the beach for shell-hunting, then pick up the kids and off to dinner.

Now we're finally on the couch with our feet up, relaxing.

Zimmy, that sounds like a really good idea. I think you and your Mom would have a good time going to see your aunt...and a road trip is always a nice time to talk, too.

I'm excited because my best friend Annie is finally coming to see me! I miss her like crazy, and haven't seen her since we moved in August. She's coming down next Saturday, only staying for 3 days, but I'm really looking forward to it. It's nice to know I'll see her in only about 10 days. :cheesy:

I also got the good news that I was selected for the Six Sigma training that my company is doing. It's a big honor, and great for developing my work skills...and also a good sign that they plan on keeping me around for the long haul, too! It means I'll be in AZ for a week in March and again in April...a bit of a hassle, especially for Scoote (who has to hold down the fort while I'm gone) but a very good thing for me professionally.

We have our boy kitten going in to get fixed tomorrow...he is getting too wild and "feeling his oats". The other day he went up the palm tree in the back yard and jumped over to the roof. Scoote had to get up on a ladder to get him down. No sooner was he down then she hears him meowing from what sounds like outside of the yard....turns out he had climbed up the fence (a 6 foot wooden one) and into the branches of the live oak tree in the neighbor's yard. Once he was up there he got scared and couldn't figure out how to get down...so she went and got him from there too. Needless to say, the pet door is blocked until he's fixed...which is really irritating the dog and our older kitty Mabel! :giggle:

Good Afternoon Scoote,

I am doing good, my mom is doing ok. She is still in shock and we found out over the weekend, that it was a 21 year old girl who hit my grandma. The girl wasn't paying attention and she was doing 70 miles per hour on a a rural Georgia road. The accident broke my grandma's neck in three places they had to use the jaws of life to get her out of the car.

My mom told me about the two story dollhouse my grandma had and i asked if I could have it.

I'm happy you saved the kitty from the tree!

I'm hoping she goes back up to Georgia. It has been atleast five years since I saw my Aunt Linda. One of my customer's from Avon called lastnight and asked me what had happened. After talking to her, I hung up the phone and started crying again.

Glad Scoote was able to keep the kitty safe!!!
