My girl going out in the woods with me and doing her best Paul Bunyan imitation, the great supper she made when she traded in her logging gear for kitchen ware (grilled steak, green beans with garlic and salt pork and rice with sour cream and salsa), a nice fire in the potbelly stove and a good nap before heading back to work.

After buying wild Bird Feed yesterday, made some coffee, and peeked out the Kitchen window to see if snowed, saw a Squirrel Chowing, and 3 Blue Jays not far, pecking around..
Yeah, I know what they say, these are all "Bullies", but I'm sure there's a cardinal or 2 in that tree as well.... Lotsa small Pudgy birds, for sure... Wow :) |

I just saw a PediaLite commercial.....a mom was pretending to sneeze and the baby was giggling uncontrollably.....it was the best sound!

my sister emailed me asking me to help her with our church's children's Christmas party. We do a craft table together. Its this Sunday! Talk about short notice! But of course I will...its one way I give back for all the help she gives me...and just because she is my sister. I like doing things with her. This time together makes me smile...

Receiving a beautiful card in the mail today from a femme sista! I was having an emotional day today and her heartfelt words touched me and lifted my spirits. Irish.... I adore you! |
The temps went up to the high 50s today and I got to go on my long walk!!!! Have not been able to for a few weeks now.

if I can get a photo, dammit, I will I am ready to go out with my sister to a madrigal dinner that my daughter is performing in. I have on a pants suit that I havent worn since I was ...jeez...its back in style..thats how long. Its body hugging and I am HOT My hair is red and shining and framing my well made up face that is literally shining with how happy I am... imagine...a couple weeks ago I was so depressed... looking out into the crowd....smiling.... you all have a good nite...if I can, I will get pictures... |

Seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter of the kids that got free books of their very own today when I and 11 fellow cyclists delivered them via bicycle...it was PRICELESS!!

I smiled tonight when watching ABC's 20/20. There was an amazing 7 year old girl singing her heart out and the sound of her voice made the hairs stand up on my arms!!! and tears came when they showed a home video of this same little girl at 3 years old watching her mother die of ovarian cancer! What a brave little girl!!!

A friend of a friend taught me something new yesterday. HDMI cable and what it is capable of. I am in awe. I have a new laptop with HD and a new flat screen HDTV and with this cable I can now watch all sorts of movies, tv episodes, etc through the net but have it appear on my tv!!! And can use said tv for a monitor which is much larger than the laptop. Technology rocks!!! And the cable is cheap 20 bucks at Wal Mart!!
So that made me smile!!! |

waking up to find my dog not in bed.. he got up sometime in the middle of the night guess he was restless.. but he got every one of his toys out of the basket like 30 or so. they were spread all over the living room and he was asleep on his back right in the middle of all of them! hadda smile.

I almost forgot this!
The vet I took Mr Smitty to is my old horse vet. He has horses of his own..about 60 of them. I opened the door and it hit me...the smell of a horse farm. and no, its not all manure. It was early morning and they were by the fence line, eating hay. A rooster was crowing.
I miss farm life..I miss the smells...the blowing of their breath on me when they come up close... I am grateful for that moment... |

I spent the afternoon with family putting up their christmas tree. The best part once again was hanging out with the little ones under the age of 4. the baby who is 18 mts old was really into putting those balls on the tree. I spent 45 minutes just with him; putting the hook on the ornaments and holding him up so he could fasten them on the tree. He was delightful and so sweet. I could not believe he hung in there with me till all the ornaments were on the tree. What a beautiful lil boy!
