My cat is currently laying in my lap with her chin resting on my kneecap (I just love it when she does that; it's almost like a hug) and purring away; she sounds like a tiny, yet loud motorcycle. Her eyes are closed and she is smiling. I really want to get up and go do something that needs doing, but I just can't bring myself to disturb her majesty, lol.

In the middle of my Sunday shift at work, hearing hard rain on the metal roof in the stockroom:) always a good sound. Also smiling...I think tomorrow will be the last day worked before vacation. I'm having more dental work, and I know for sure one sick day, but the next one will be just attached as , I need more rest:) |
going to a new kink group dinner get together and having an awesome time.... Volunteering to host the event and being graciously accepted made me feel so good... New things are so much fun!

Kitty. Even after a long day of not feeling too great, there's kitty, here to snuggle and sleep with me, looking at me like I am all that and sliced bread too. Makes me feel special.

A friend was in town all day and I finally got to meet her new gf.

A successful family visit that could have been stressful. Family that was "removed" before I was born, due to a divorce, who I met for the first time 12 years ago. Two of my cousins from that family are in the military and are visiting this week so I went to visit and meet their new babies. The family is very conservative, anti-obama, and other stuff I won't get into here. We'll just say that our politics really conflict. However, they are also kind, run a farm, have a lot of kids, etc. We had a nice visit. We kept conversation to neutral and communal territory of parenting, homeschooling, food, and family we have in common. I got to hold little babies who slept and cooed on my lap. Left with a smile.
