I have to say, as one of the people who will be playing their horn, literally, as a member of the LGBA (Lesbian and Gay Band Association) in the president's inauguration parade on Monday: Your horn better be in tune!!! :)

Also, I have a massive crush on musicians. Mostly woodwinds, with the occasional brasshole. Any takers?

This is so cool - if there is a way we can pick you out when/if they show the band on TV, please let us know! :)

When I was in high school, I wasnt *just* a band geek, my dad owned the only music store in town (and another one in a near-by town) and all of the kids in my town and the surrounding smaller towns bought and rented their band and orchestra instruments from him (he also repaired instruments and didnt just rent/sell to school kids, he also sold guitars, amps, etc).

I played cello in the orchestra before high school, then in HS I tried out the french horn, but didnt care for it - I ended up playing clarinet in the concert, marching, and pep (during football games in the stands) bands, a little oboe in the concert band, and alto sax in the jazz band. :winky:

Nothing wussy about blushing... I do it all the time! But I will stop making you blush if that's what you really want... I'm nice that way.

With all the posts we've put up here today, I'm wondering if those we admitted to crushing on will ever really know :sunglass:

I can at least say, we were braver than we've been in a while because we took our crushes out of the friends context.
Perhaps telling us to butch up was just what we needed :)

lol@my brutha....ayep...and it looks like things quieted down...no one I named has said a word...except one smiled....chuckling...
What is nice is a crush is incredible......they are fun...they are soothing to the soul...and a crush doesn't necessarily have to be reciprocated....although is nice when it is...but friends remain friends regardless......and on my part, it was all in fun...I wouldn't ever be disrespectful to someone else's crush if they were really serious...cause I'm a gentle butch like that...:)
I actually crush a lot of folks on the Planet....and not always according to gender....I crush on their mind, or their humor, or their personality....you know...this is one of my most fave threads....I love the fun, fluff, flirty forums...wow try saying THAT three times in rapid succession...

I think some I named, don't even come in here and if they do, it's rare or someone else leads them to the darn post.

I have many friends here I crush on and admire. Some I know in real life and some just from their posts, but have known them online for a long time.

Crushes are great to have, it tells us that we can still feel even when we may not want to.

I am captivated by the mind and inner beauty of a person. When I want to know someone better, I want to know all about them. So, if I'm asking you point blank questions, know it's because I'm more than interested in you.

'Nuff of the mushy stuff

*perk*Muscato....I knew I heard wine in here.
I miss the wine outlet store in San Marcos, been way too long since I been there and we don't have a place like that here.

Can you tell cupid to put a bottle of wine at the end of my arrow

Vivacious1 01-16-2013 07:42 PM

LOL, I also have to admit that I have never posted in this thread but stalk it. I find it funny as hell and *curtsey* to you brave ones!!! Crushes are awesome!

I would have cupid do that but I avoid him like the plague!

Katniss 01-16-2013 08:24 PM

Wowzer! Step outta' this thread for just a minute and look at all the crushing going on! Love that some new folks are popping in too.

Looks like those extra target lessons I gave Cupid worked! I do need to warn you all (<--Northern speak for 'ya'll' as I am bi-lingual like that)....we dipped those arrows in something special. The crush effects may linger for some time and no animals were harmed in the process.

Group hugs! :hk1::hk1::hk1::hk1:

My work here is done....

Well clay..that food truck festival that I went to ..fabulous..and, well it involved a wine tasting event and oddly, California champagne. So, after the Jambalaya I needed something to drink...anyway..fast forward several hours, a dead cell phone and 52 food trucks, fascinating people, nowhere to plug my phone in, 4 of us that needed coffee before one of us could drive, no coffee in those 52 trucks (who plans these things??) and there ya go.

So that's what I have to say for myself.

Also, technically, I only stood you up once since I only expected one call.

Just fyi.

Okay if I EVER have a food truck, it HAS to have coffee! Fair trade coffee. Several kinds. Chocolate coffee beans too!

I know right? It was a cold day too! Major oversight! But being who I am of course, totally unwilling to believe that not one of the 52 trucks was hauling coffee, I had to go and investigate the situation. Nope, no coffee. Only hot chocolate. With chili. Which would have been fabulous but not following champagne.

You should have seen us when we finally got to a Starbucks. lol. You would have thought that we had crossed the desert with no water and landed at the oasis.

No really it was the dead cell phone

(Gee I wonder who was blowing up my phone?)

The fact that I did not notice the dead cell phone was the fault of Domain Chandon.

I rest my case.

(Dad always wanted me to be a lawyer)

Chicken Tacos it is. I have a few dishes up my sleeve. Ready for the Butch retreat.
