Ok rule maker. Here is your dare. You may not know her but I do and she is a great sport. So you are going to thread stalk Talon. Go to her page read all her posts and thank every one regardless of what they say, I mean thank at least 40 in a row. So when she looks at her CP all that's on there are thanked posts from you. Lol then u must quote at least the last ten of her posts and make some bizarre simple comment. For example if she posted something about flea markets say something like, I bought 6 fleas for a dollar here last week at a flea market.then after comment on the threads, go to her page and say, you don't seem to post much on the threads. Would love to see you post more.always your friend Gaea aka , trick rider aka mama pizza lover aka girl wonder. Ok let us know when your done

We've had a few complaints about this thread, so I figured I'd address these issues so that we can keep them in mind as we play the game.

1) Let's be careful not to joke using terms like "ADHD" or other mental conditions. I know that no harm is intended; we all just need to be more mindful about this.

2) When we dare, if it's a light prank on someone, let's continue to do our best to make sure that the one giving the dare chooses someone whom they have a sense won't mind being on the receiving end of a playful gag. I like JAGG's way of starting by saying something like, "My buddy, X, would get a kick out of this" or something like that. It wouldn't be good to choose a random stranger, because that person might feel mocked. So far, this has not been a problem, but it has been voiced as a possible problem-to-be, so I figured I'd address it preemptively.

3) If a prank takes place on a thread, let's try not to intrude upon threads that are serious for other people. We need to keep in mind the big picture and try as best we can to think ahead about what might offend.

Basically Truth or Dare is an edgy game, and there's going to be moments when we accidentally step on others' toes. During these times, let's try to be gracious and use them as learning experiences. Let's also do our best to avoid them in the first place.

Please don't take this moderation as an end to fun. Pushing the envelope is always going to involve some discussion of what is and isn't appropriate, so let's embrace that as part of the process when it comes up.

Thanks for the dare Turtle...interestingly enough yesterday I wrote one of my nieces (the eldest one I have), a letter sharing with her exactly what she means to me, what a great mom she has been and now grandmother, what a solid friend she is to her friends, and how very proud I am of her for not just surviving but thriving some difficult challenges...As I sit here sunburned yes I was out on the water for hours, I haven't mailed it to her yet, but will tomorrow.

So, your dare is not difficult for me except when it comes to the planet...this is how I will do this, and hope that they don't get the wrong idea, I'll pm two planet people whom I admire for one reason and another and well, we'll see.

Done. One femme, one butch, both of whom I respect for their intelligence, balance in their post responses, and how they both honor their personal boundaries.

Yes, I'll admit that I was a bit nervous about it...but as I wrote I found myself really enjoying sharing what I liked about them.

Both responded with the clear-eyed warmth that, I'm not exaggerating, left me speechless.
