The statues are bizarre. I wonder if they are supposed to be mourners or something like that. Anyone know??

I would imagine the robe effect to is to protect them from damage from dust, insects? They are probably not robed for religious reasons.

I thought maybe they were sheets also but then I saw the one in the back with the missing face and thought maybe they were made that way, to look like they were covered in cloth.

Hummm. If so, they are certainly not carved from stone. My question would be why are they sitting in the pews? That is odd. Do you suppose they are humans draped for some artistic reason? Denoting the ghostly presence of church goers?

i was curious too...so i looked up niki feijen "disciple of decay" and found out
